ok first part of the fiancee for ask for address, in part b question 2.
Than later it ask: 15. your fiancee address abroad
So do I still need her address on question 2 to be in qatar.
-
Thank you for the responses. Just nervous. Should file soon! This might happen after 4 years!

My fiance is from Phils but we are doing K-1 from Qatar. When we put in address I assume one in Qatar so they can send her forms etc. Is this correct?
Also on letter of intent and cover letter the examples ask for "[ADDRESS OF FILING LOCATION]" Is this the Texas address where I send the original I-129f?

Things are not going well for us. We thought being at this point would be a relief seems to be more questions than answers. We now have a copy of the disillusionment from the courts. Now the process begins to get the next two documents. My lady's concern is she has to change back to her maiden name for NBI, Police reports from countries she has worked in, etc, before we can file. She will not take the word of others on this forum, or me. She wants it from a US government doc or official. I haven't seen anything on the forms we fill out that says it would be OK. I know the forms ask for maiden name and ex name. Ideas?

Is your K1 petition approved yet? What embassy did you put on the form for the interview?
If she is still under a work contract, that might be a problem because I heard that the employers take the employees' passports so they cannot leave the country. Maybe wait until the work contract is finished.
I'm afraid that is what will happen. If we don't file now we have to wait for her to go back to phils than it will be longer than 2 years since I have seen her which I can't afford another visit. Its already been 4 years waiting for the annulment. Haven't filled yet. Just trying to weight everything so we don't waste energy, time and money on something that will not work. Very depressing, upsetting, disheartening.

Download the K1 instructions here: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3224.html
All forms can be downloaded in that file as well.
Good luck!
I assuming but this should be similar in most countries. The issue is her visa in Qatar they hold it and may not like that she has to wait to get it back. Also what excuse does she use to get it back to go to the interview. Personally as soon as she gets it I want to get her on a plane.
All my friends say bring her illegally. In my heart I want to do it the right way.
What I fear when she resigns is that who she works for will try to send her back to phils than we have to start all over. I can't afford those cost. Just worried, scared. Pfft.

Sorry for this bit of missing info. She is on work Visa in Qatar.

Per the flow chart: *This will be sent out within a week (typically less) from when the embassy processes the received petition. This package will include a checklist of items and paperwork that must be collected. Some will be sent back asap, and others will be sent back later or brought to the interview.
Can someone tell me when they send out these forms what will they need back such as birth certificates, police reports, visa, etc? Or do they need to see those item during interview? Do they need originals if mailed in our will copies work? This is causing so many fights. AAAHHHHH!
Since she is on work visa in this country she does not have access to VISA. they hold it. Real tired of all this.

Go here: NSC Center
Scroll to bottom and put zip code in boxes and it will tell you service center.
Local Office: Local Office
I got screwed moving across the Ohio into KY. The federal building in Cincy is just 15 miles from my place but now I have to go to Louisville. A good 1.5 to 2 hour drive.

Again Thank you for the support.

Thank you for your responses. Yes I have been back several times. Once to Bahrain(she worked there) Feb/Mar 10, Phils Nov/Dec 10, Phils March/Apr 12.

If you do add me, Novaman1964

You need to tell the story of how we met. Wondering how this may affect my application.
We met in July 09 when I traveled on business to Manila to train my new counter parts in IT. We corresponded via email, chat, phone before the trip. Where things might be an issue is that at the time I was separated and living on my own, and going through bankruptcy. Lawyer advised to do divorce after bankruptcy as it is a pain to do it before. Bankruptcy completed later that year. Divorce final in Feb 10. So they will see this when I file my paperwork/story and see the dates on divorce docs. I don't want to be dishonest and won't. Just wondering if this will hurt the process or maybe get denied because of this.
-
It's my understanding that the Philippines is the only country which does not allow divorce. Ridiculous!
The annulment process is a rip off.
Sir I could go one and on about immigration policy and the red tape Filipinos have to live with. I guess this isn't the place for it.
Thank you for understanding. Too bad you live on the left coast would be cool to get together.

My wife also had a nullity of marriage, we had to send the Advisory on Marriages (CEMAR) from NSO and also the Annotated Certificate of Marriage from NSO of her first marriage showing it was annulled to NVC and such.
It takes a while for those court documents after a court decision to get to the local civil registrar to certify them and then sent to the NSO and for the NSO to get that information in their system in order to issue the results on the Advisory on Marriages and the annotation on the Certificate of Marriage for her annulled marriage.
Thank you for the reply. Very concise and correct.

Here's what you need: click here.
Thank you for your response. I will hold back on my feelings as the ridiculousness is amazing in it all! Three years to get to this point but still not there!
-
Once we have the decision from the court do we also need a CENOMAR? Suppose to have decision April 29th!
-
I am not sure about the annulment process, just know it has to be finalized BEFORE you start the K-1 petition process. Also you need to have met in person WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS, so if you have not been together within the last two years you will need to go visit before you can file.
If you plan on doing the visa process at the embassy in Qatar then using a P.O. boxt there is just fine. For sure she will want to keep things private about what is happening.
Yup waiting on the annulment paper work. Should have soon, but been hearing that for 3 years. Definitley want to keep things private. Just figured the Embassy would want a actual street address.
-
OK supposedly we will receive the decision from the PI court on disillusionment this month. It's been 3 years so far. Met in person almost 4 years ago.
Will the paper work be enough to file for the K-1? or will we have to wait for all government docs to change her name back to family name?
We are having an issue with an address where she lives in Qatar (she is Filipina but working there). Looking into a PO Box will this suffice? Can't use work address. Not sure about address where she lives. I think she doesn't want anyone to know her plans. Ideas?

Thank you all!

I was told by a lawyer once it does not matter what country my fiance is in we can still file for a K-1 visa. She is from the Phils and is back home but wants to go to Canada for work. Can I still file the K-1 when she is in Canada. We are still waiting on the Annulment BS.
-
Need to see if someone can clear this up so I don't have to pay a lawyer to get the question answered (and probably not get the right answer).
Question: Once she has the resolution from the court do we need to wait for the NSO to change all of her records so we can file the K-1 Visa?
-
While the K-1 visa is in process in Bahrain(where my fiancée works) can she travel to the Philippines for a visit and then travel back to Bahrain before the K-1 process is completed? I need a definite answer.
Since there are no answers yet would anyone know a reliable resource I can contact on this subject?

What do you do if there is not enough room in the boxes for my fiancee's address? I tried to copy into the boxes but forms are secured so no go. Ideas?
