I have a friend who got engaged just last month also while doing her internship but same case kayo, may 2 yr homestay rule. I think their just gonna get married in the Phils.

But accdg to NVC, they sent our case March 31st. So I am guessing that the embassy means that they got the actual I-129F on April 4th OR one of them is lying. I also want to sched my interview asap. I'll be graduating on Friday and I don't want to be stuck at home for long doing nothing. -.-

I e-mailed IVManilaReplies@state.gov to ask and this is their reply:

We received the electronic file from the State Department's National Visa Center (NVC) On April 4, 2011, and should receive the U.S. Immigration Service-approved visa petition (Form I-129F) shortly.

As soon as we receive the I-129F petition from NVC, you will be notified in writing regarding the int...

Crystal...do you have your letter from the embassy already? I'm still waiting for mine. It's taking forever! I asked them for the status of my case and they said that it's already there and that I should receive the letter soon. They wouldn't let me schedule my interview without it. :| Have you tried asking them bout yours?

Thank you! Yes, I will. Actually sa interview ko before for my student visa okay naman lahat. Mga 5 minutes lang yun. Gusto lang nila truthful ka and dapat ready ka with anything they ask.

Not yet. We're still waiting on our new case number from the NVC. I haven't talked to my fiance yet but he's supposed to have called them today. Sana meron na! Pag meron na nun I can schedule na the medical and interview. I am hoping for a late April interview sched.

Definitely is! I look at it as a test of endurance for couples. Haha Kasi kung di naman strong ang 2 tao with LDR plus the pressure of this whole process, it only means that they don't love each other enough to last. Good luck on your visa journey sis! Hmmmm...my fiance has not mentioned anything about the hardcopy yet. I haven't talked to him today. I hope it's already there! I wish VSC knew how much pain and anxiety this whole process gives to people. There hasn't been any approvals here on VJ after ours. It's ridiculous!

Haha! Actually, I'm older than you ng ilang months. I'm already 24. Madami kasi kong nasayang na sem 'coz of transferring to a different university. I wondered that before too. Pero sabi nila dito hindi na raw kailangan kapag sa US.
