  1. Ok so I don't miss anything. What is all you need to have with you at the Montreal U.S. Consulate Interview? So on the documents list to bring for interview, asked originals and copies, but most of my originals they already have it, was sent thru the visa process, now I have copies of all of it with me done. Now do yo have to bring a copy of the ds 156 and 156k? Because depends what document list you print one don't say it. In the documents when you print out your interview date and time paper yes. I just want to be prepared. So any advice and people that have already had an interview. Please tell me all you need, and what to expect, the questions and all. Thanks.

  2. I know this might sound stupid or I dont know. But can you give me an example of all ties acceptable? imaginable? thank you and also is there a way to accelarate the K-1 process, its at the almost last stage, packet 3 was sent waiting for packet 4. Thanks once again

P.S If I may ask after they refuse you when did you try again(after how long)? and why did they refuse you in the first position and what did you do to make your situation better? I hope im not being indescreet. thanks

  3. They say lack of ties to Canada. So if you get those ties they want, you should be ok for next time entry? Yeah it does depend on the CBP Officer, and they sure abuse their power but unfortunately right or wrong they are, its their decision, you can appeal to them at a later notice but at that moment they decide your day. It sucks, its not fair, its ridiculous, its unecessary, its many things but its just the way it is. You can only learn and be more prepared and just calm and collected

  4. Hello to everyone. I have a few questions.

Has anyone ever been refused entrance twice but made it the third time with no problem? and do you have your visa now? married? all good?

Also can someone who has sent packet 3, what if since you sent those there has been some changes that were already in progress but not yet ready for packet 3, can you update it? revised it and send the forms again just updated?

Also what if they want more info out of you or I dont know they think you are not admissable for a visa, can you always make them review your case, or make a new one? or update, add more? revise?

Also how long after someone has been refused entry can they enter again? lets say they give u a reason and you have now back up. Can they always refuse entry even after you gave them what they want? and if yes why? and can you try and enter again?

    Thanks

  5. Hello to everyone. Ok so Im confused about something. Before asking the question here is a bit of info about my situation. My Fiance the Petitioner is from the U.S. I'm the applicant from Canada. So I recieved packet 3. Everything done and all. Went to the site to do the DHL thingie. My consulate is Montreal. But here is one thing that confuses me so ok they asked documents to bring to the interview same asked in Form DS-156K. So will those documents come back to me before the Interview? and also where do I send all my documents and all asked in packet 3? They say thru DHL but Im confused is this the adress im suppose to send all my stuff to? : Consulate General of the United States of America. Immigrant Visa Unit. 315 Place d'Youville, Suite 500, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H2Y 0A4.

So do I go to the DHL Office and from there send my documents to that address? Thank you for your time, patience and advice.

  6. Hello to all the Vjers :P I will be visiting my fiance in the U.S after I sent my packet 3 stuff. Damn that some long stuff lol anyways :P

I know they say it will take to at least 4-6 weeks before receiving my interview package is that correct? has some waited longer? and inbetween sending packet 3 and waiting for the interview package is there any other steps done? or you just wait for them to revise that and send you answer and what next, with the whole medical and all.

Also, what adress do I send it too? Im confused lol my consulate is Montreal. Im on the usvisa site for the dhl, anyone can tell me more about it?

And also I did the online form, I printed out for me to keep one and one for the interview I read somewhere someone saying to be extra careful because its a new system and its not perfected yet lol.

I have done all the forms requested on packet 3, online, police certificate ect.

The doctor letter is that to send now for packet 3? or to bring at the medical? or interview?

And any advice for when I fly to the U.S all I need to bring to make sure, I get entry. I know I will but you never know whos there and all lol.

I like to stay updated and always learn something new better wiser thank you.

  7. Thanks and no need to yell. All Capitals in internet lingo means yelling.

Congressman has a liaison. You talk to the liaison, you sign some papers and send them in. Then the person will look into your case and try to get answers from USCIS/ US embassy as to whats going on. It depends on the liaison and their contacts as to how good of a response you will get from the inquiry by them.

WHY? its all over VJ forums as to WHY as well as when you would contact your congressman or senator.

  8. OMG! Any advice? tips? yes yes I read your review! thank you it helped but gosh i want to be 100%%%%% ready and prepared im so nervous haha. did they ask any stupid questions? tried to make you feel uncomfortable? anything else you can share thank you in advance :)

haha!!!! yeah! the actual interview was a BREEZE. it was the paperwork and not knowing if I had all my ####### together! but it worked out. :) God is good!

Oh gosh! if you have ANY questions...let me know! the questions they asked were so basic. Nothing intense...it was the paperwork stuff...but if u have all your stuff together..its a breeze! will be praying for you tri-gear that is all goes well and that you guys will finally be able to be together!!!!

Dont worry about it. Its stupid but its somethng you gotta do. they have the pledge everywhere. its all bullcrap they dont even follow it. but you're good ur inlove and want to be with your partner just be relaxed, honest and calm and all will go fine :)

You have to pledge allegiance to the USA? What??

This is all very helpful! Thank you for posting it!! I am just confused about the pledge.

  9. But why would even the ''Petitioner'' work history matter? What if the Beneficiary doesnt want to be supported by him or her? Or is not marrying her or him because he or she wants to be supported? Why does it matter so much? And what is it for them when the ''Petitioner'' can support his or her Beneficiary? What if he or she only wants to be with his or her fiance and the ''Petitioner'' is not rich?

  10. What a ''complicated'' case?

Everyone gets an interview. Yours will be in either Montreal or Vancouver, depending on where you live.

Answer the questions on the form literally. If they ask for your name, don't list anything else but your name.

Unless you have a complicated case, the interview is fine, read the conlsulate reviews to know what to expect

    Good luck

  11. So how much should one add to the already questions asked on the forms?

And does everyone end up getting interviewed? Or is it not the same for everyone?

If you dont get interviewed where do you recieve your visa?

And if interviewed, what to expect at the interview? How long? What kind of questions? What to bring? Not to bring? What to do? Not to do?

    Thanks.

  12. Hello everyone and thanks in advance for anyone who answers. Im applied for a K1 Fiance Visa. Already at the last steps, before recieving the interview date at the U.S Consular in Montreal.

    1. What is exactly an '' Intent to Marry Letter'' ? What does it have to include exactly in it?

    2. Evidence of Engagement to Your Fiance? What in the world is that? lol

    3. They ask if I intent to work or study in the U.S? What is that about? Mine is not a work or student visa. I dont have an employee or school address for now there. I don't need one to move to the U.S. I dont have a 9-5 job. Do I have income coming in? Yes. Do I have money to pay for expanses in the U.S? Of course. Do I have a degree? Not yet Im back to school now working on that. Will I go to school there? Online probably and probably another degree and continue on the one im working on now. Will I have a job there? I might invest on something or do some real estate or get another job.

Any advice or questions you may have dont hesitate.

    Thanks once again.

  13. Hi to everyone! how are you? happy late v-day! so I want to thank everyone advice and to whom has tried to put me down you were wrong things are going better then ever and are proceeding :) im at my last step before recieving the interview date lol

Lord, they are sure slow and repetitive but what you gotta do lol. So what to expect at the interview? any advice ect? And what else could I send with my forms other then what they ask to make my case even better. Im sure I wont be denied and even if I am I wont give up. By the way Im petioned for a K1 Fiance Visa Im canadian his American. Its to go to U.S lol

Any advice, stories anything is appreciated :) thanks!

  14. Dont be afraid. Never give up. I feel your pain. Ive been there. And yes they might have the power. But dont let that get to you or bring you down. Because you would be giving them the satisfaction and whom believes in them. Be strong and never give up. And dont be hesitant on venting. If you want you can vent to me. im a good listener. not much of a talker it seems it gets me in trouble lol (I gotta learn to deal with my emotions better) good luck and be prepared and calm and collected as many said in here even tho its very hard to do believe me.
