      I've spoken to a few people doing property management that are making what I did back home - she was working on a navy base. When I was in Virginia I had a job offer for 5 grand less then what I was getting back home. But so far here not so great. I will keep looking I guess. Maybe work at min wage until I find somthing better...

      Oh miss lyn. I am in a new boat. Job hunting, cause I finally can, but looking at a huge pay cut. I don't want to work for peanuts, but I don't want to be at home going crazy. Arh. With the job offers I have had I will be making less then I did when I was 18 and unexperienced. Arrrhhh.

    I cannot beleive how antiquated this country is. OMG just been to DDS 3 hours later and just a friggin permit. DId not have the insurance papers on me so would not let me do raod test and I said why do I have to I have been driving 36 years and just on 12 months here since I first arrived OMG they are so slow

      Oh I have to go through this soon too. We are trying to register my car in Florida after our move and the dramas!!! Today I will try again.. How was the Learner test? Do I have to worry, its been 10 years since I had to do this..

    Today 3rd Jan received my EAD and AP yaya!!!! lol but USCIS site is slow been touched but has initial review for EAD and touched today and AP not touched since 15 November lol but I have it

      Thanks Barb, I had all ready to go for when we received our marriage cert. I can't wait to have this finalised so I can start a real life here, when the job thing is sorted I will not feel as usless. How are things for you?

    having been doing some driving, sent an email to the local dmv to find out the legalities of my driving and how to get a Kansas license.

      How did you go with this? I was told here in VA that I can get a license that will last my visa period and then when I marry I just renew it. But the chick on the phone said something about going on your L's. But no test required...

    Well I have been married for one week now and it feels good. Life is great here in USA and so good to be home for good.

    Been in the U.S. for 2 weeks and enjoying so much being with my baby. Planning our wedding for the 27th Nov and have my baby very busy with some renovations to the house. Can't wait till my own stuff arrives. I have been home sick missing my kids and grand kids but in time it will get easier.

    Arh. I can't do it. Today I was going to give notice to work, but they have got me a cake and pressies for my B day. Really not the best day for that. Running out of time. (they have no idea about all of this).

      I had my letter in hand, it was too funny.

      Work was out of the loop as I have had the job only during this process, dont think they would have hired me otherwise. Feel so guilty. Tomorrows the day to confess.
