    I keep readin how many many people were literally told their visa is approved. The only thing the CO told us at the end after telling us we still have to send in my MP letter and they're waiting on my medical results and telling me about the brown envelope was "Good luck with your move!" lol

      haha yea...just when I called uscis to ask about our RFE...all I heard yup it's done, the Visa Unit is who you want to talk to now lolol

      hmm...then maybe they are just lazy and don't want to work lol the 24th is soon, and as soon as that is done I would go there and insist on my SSN...I don't see why they would make such a big deal out of it...silly

      Yep...but if they remain stubborn just wait until after you get married and do AOS because then they definitely can't deny you a SSN anymore! ;)

      I didn't know you had a K1 visa, sorry :(

      Just go again tomorrow, try to speak to someone else...I mean if you can't look for a job bc you need a SSN you can at least annoy them until they give in ;)

      oh yeah, if you marked on the DS-230 form that you want to be issued a card automatically, it should be sent to the address your resident card is sent to...but then I also read alot that in many cases it doesn't work and people had to go to the SSO to get their SSN...

      I kept reading you have to be in the country for at least 10 days or so before you can get a SSN card, but you don't need your green card, your passport with visa is the "temporary" one...

      if they have both your email you should be fine. if you can sleep better having told them about the new number, just write them a short friendly email. im getting rid of my cell phone contract soon and if i havent received my visa until then i will most likely let them know, too ;)

    They kept my passport, now I need to send in my MP background check and my medical results have to be received in the conulates office and they are sending out my Visa!!!!!!!!! :))))

    :-( My receipt number isn't in their system... I tried calling and I spoke to someone, he said my case is there and it is being worked on but it just hasn't been updated online... :-( this means I won't know when I've been touched or whether or not they're accessing it. I'm very disappointed.

      We did DCF and couldn't do any of the online checking. I think if I had the option to check online I would have gone completely nuts lol don't worry, it will all be fine!
