    Got the RFE. Started a thread in the main AOS forum...we were right, it's for medical. They are saying they have no record of his overseas medical. Sure glad it took them four months to determine that!

    We're scheduling an InfoPass & I'll be on the phone tomorrow with Senators/Congressman's offices.

    UGH-how is that possible? That info should at LEAST be at the embassy! And also in your brown envelope you handed in at the airport. What bollocks! This is their f$ckup!I'm so sorry. I hope you can get it sorted...call embassy? Do you have your own copies?

    I sent a letter off to our congressman today hoing that maybe he will be able to get our case moving along. It is 3.5 months now and I still haven't even recieved a letter for my bio appt :angry: I think that it is even more frustrating that my husband (the USC) wouldn't do this for me!!!

    you haven't received your bio appt yet? That's crazy! I hope your senator can help...I've read from numerous people that it does.

    Sorry you have to be stuck like that.

    No! Oh, that SUCKS.

    Did you guys do the follow up vaccinations? Or was everything req'd available in Kenya? My husband had a few things still needed so he did send in a partial completed medical form with our packet. We really really debated on doing that b/c he'd already had the physical. After much research, it seemed this issue was not fully clear by USCIS and different people got different responses if they did not complete another medical (like this vaccination supplementation), EVEN though it states for fiancee visas you do not need to this. Its super confusing. I hope that's not it! And I hope whatever it is, you can resolve it quickly.

    My husband is working at Farm & Fleet, an automotive/farm/random things store. Its a total downgrade for him as he left a great job in Sierra Leone as a logistician/administrator. But this job gets him into the U.S. system and gets some money in. He'd also like to go back to school in logistics/business. So its a stepping stone..but no complaints!

    Just checked - no touch for us still since July 10. Really hope this week or next brings good news for those of us who were transferred!

    Seriously. My husband wants to do INFOpass if nothing by September. Don't know if we'd get it, but he's starting to get anxious. Not that keen on asking for an interview, but its not my life, you know? I mean it IS, but...

    Congrats! You must feel so great.

    I would be annoyed too about her taking away the AP. No, it didn't' cost extra money, but if you have the docs in hand and you need to travel, they you need it, and its already been approved. This process has enough people in line, and bureaucracy, why tax the system more with an INFOpass when it would have been unnecessary? Stupid. But yes, yes, GC, yey!

    I'm so frustrated with this SS issue.

    I went to the SS office for the 3rd time on Monday 2nd Aug. because i received my EAD on the 30th of July. The officer was very polite. He said my I94 has expired and he'll need to get some info from USCIS. He asked me to call back on Friday (today)that he'll be able to give me the response from USCIS. I called the office today and after 35 mins they said i have to wait for the GC which they've not even approved. Now i have to sit at home again. So it means the EAD is useless afterall. MVA said they cant issue drivers license without SSN. I'm so frustrated. And i cant even go back home. I'm sick and tired of this system. :crying::crying:

    That really sucks. We feel your pain. We actually signed up for a SS card the week after hubby arrived. So I guess you can get one before I-94 expires. Strange, I'm surprised you couldnt show them your I797 (which says GC is applied for). We had to show it for the drivers license (but along with SS). Anyway, I think your GC is around the corner, it seems those that applied early May are starting to get them. Hang in there!
