All went well. We arrived early around 6:20am, first in line. Around 7:00am the administrator had us sign in and assigned a number to us. Then around 7:15am we were ushered to the second floor, filled out one contact sheet and ordered the docs the way they wanted them. Since we were a CR-1 Visa, we only had to bring, photos, passport and medical packet. They called us in around 8:00am to re-review the docs already sent in and return the originals, some preliminary questions, nothing major.

Around 9:45am we called in for the official interview, the main questions were around why we abandoned the K-1 process after getting married in the U.S. After explaining it was due to my project in Brazil, we told her we were planning on moving back to the U.S. in April. We were then quickly approved!! Hopefully this helps you and good luck on the 12th of April!!

It will probably take 3 or 4 days to be processed in NVC. Then it goes directly to Rio. You can call NVC about a week after you get NOA2 and ask if it has been assigned a case number yet. Then you can email the embassy and ask for your interview date. You will get a letter in the mail, but I wanted to know right away, so I emailed them. They replied within a day. It took about a month for out interview. During that time my fiance scheduled the medical (also in Rio since that was the closest c...
