  1. I have a question guys and girls: once married can we go (NEXT DAY, RIGHT AFTER THE MARRIAGE) for honey moon to Puerto Rico or is it considered an overseas trip, an OUTSIDE the U.S. trip and my lady won't be able to enter back the U.S.? Any ideas about that issue?

Also (though VERY irrelevant to the issue we have here): once married what is the next step? I mean I know we have to proceed to the A.O.S. and I have all the forms ready to be filled but once we are done with the forms, what is the next step, plz? Anyone can help me with it? I am sorry to bother here but I am too "green" on the whole thing :( Be blessed

  2. I had the same thoughts once upon a time but K3 is lot more EXPENSIVE, takes LOT MORE TIME. In your case, no matter if you have TONS of papers of proofs, the fact that you get married "on the spot" will raise SERIOUS questions as of the seriousness of you too and they will think that both of you were impulive. Who doesn't want his parents to be present at their wedding? We all do, yet we have to be aware too, that there are CONSEQUENCES as well and that there are SACRIFICES we have to make in order to achieve our goals. You guys want to get married on the first date... then face the problems that come with it and to MY opinion they will be VERY serious, up to the point that will put in jeopardy the whole thing.

  3. You should print and read the 200 pages of conversations you guys had and take out of there the BEST parts there are.

Some 15 pages would do the job. You should NOTE ALL personal assets you have and write the TOTAL price of them, for it will help considerably your petition since it will strengthen a lot your financial reliability as a petitioner. Print ALL the deposits you made since the beginning of this year and include them for they will increase your reliability to the eyes of the consul.

I trust FedEx more than anyone else. Here if you need anything. Be blessed

  4. Do we need to fill up DS230 before we go to the Interview? I am so confused. One paper says we need the DS230, another just the DS 2100, other info says we need DS156 and DS156K. For CHRIST'S SAKE, can't they tell us CLEARLY what they need? I am about to crack under pressure. Can anyone help, plz? I BEG you guys, plz HELP.

  5. Guys and girls, I am so confused that I am about to crack under pressure. I got a letter from the VSC. Ok it says: I-797C and states that "the above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the the consulate with any questions about visa issuance. The petitioner can also file Form I-824 Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition". Ok does that mean that my petition went directly to the consulate and now the embassy of U.S.A. in Colombia is the one that handles my case? I am so confused and helpless that I am scared to death. Plz help... Be blessed

  7. First off, congratulations on the approval of your petition! If you have not already received your NOA2 in the mail, it should be arriving very soon!

At this point in time, USCIS considers your case "closed." They've done their part and your packet is on it's way to the NVC which will quickly forward it to the Columbian Embassy. I'm not really sure how to apply for a change of address abroad for your fiance. If you attempt to contact USCIS at this point, they won't know who you are.

my thoughts to you would be to email the Columbian Embassy with your question. The I-129F process is generally the longest. At this point things are going to be moving VERY quickly! I'm telling you to contact the Embassy in Columbia because this is where you are going to discover that every Embassy does things their own way. Some Embassies do it "this way" while others do things "that way."

From the very beginning of this entire process, Lizeth hasn't received a single piece of information from ANYBODY, and her interview is coming up in a couple of weeks at the Bolivian Embassy. Every single notice, letter, email, etc., has always come to me either through USPS or email. But that may not be the case in Columbia.

If you've not already done so, you can find contact information by clicking through the "Embassy Info" tab at the top of the VJ screen.

    My Next Advice For You

Because the pace is going to start picking up soon, you and your fiancee would do well to start getting things prepared for the next step. Againk if you've not already done so, visit the official Columbian Embassy's website. Research as much information as you possibly can about how their process works, what documents and forms are needed, etc. I tried to get a jump start on preparing for Lizeth's interview, but things are moving so quickly for us, that I wish there were 30 hours in a day!

Congratulations again! Good luck on your Visa Journey!

  8. Guys and girls

I am sorry to bother but I REALLY need all the help you can provide me. My lawyer kept my NOA and in order to send me a copy of it she asked me (in an indirect way) to proceed to the "second phase payment" in order to send me the paper and continue with me. I had to deny for to my ears it sounded as a blackmail. Now I am COMPLETELY in the dark. To start 1) I have no idea what kinda savings I should show to my account. Would a couple thousands dollars, do the job? Can anyone help? 2) What papers should we start gathering for the interview? Is there any page/site that notes all the paperwork needed? 3) Any recommendations for a lawyer that can take the rest of the "job" from where it is left? I ´d REALLY appreciate any help (I am sinking here:():

    Thank you
