The Lord has given us more than we deserve! NOA2 arrived in the mail today - 40 days after we mailed it. And it was approved July 28, our 1 year anniversary. Praise His Holy and Faithful Name!!!

Naa, but I have decided not to stress out about it. It seems like it is only delaying people by 2 to 4 weeks (so theoretically we could be sent to the consulate within a week or so), and the consulate re-opened today, so things are looking up again! And with your good news I am in the mood to celebrate

WE GOT THE LETTER!!!!! Now waiting for embassy for open again.. we want to have the interview at September 1!!! I CANT WAIT FOR SEE HIM AGAIN!!!!

Well, I called the NVC to find out the status of our case, and apparently we have been flagged for "Additional Processing". It sounds like this means a month-long delay while they run additinal background checks. Awesome.

I called the (603)334-0700 number, but it was really busy so it took about 20 times before I could get through, and then I had to wait on hold for about half an hour before I could talk to someone. They said that they are still sending cases to CDJ even though they are closed (I don't think he quite understood my question at first though, and was pretty snippy...).
