  1. I was hugely ninja'd. That's what I get for making a cup of tea before hitting the Post button. Regardless, for posterity:

The passport photos are only needed to "those who reside overeas pursuant to military or Government orders." It's all in the instructions; did you read them?

As long as you have downloaded the latest form from the USCIS website it will be accepted.

    Thank you...

  2. The OMB(Office of Management and Budget) expiration date only matters internally for the USCIS. That expiration date has nothing to do with whether or not it will be acceptable for you to use. The edition date is what matters. The accepted edition dates for the forms are listed on the site where the forms can be found and downloaded.

    http://www.uscis.gov/i-751

    Edition Date

04/11/13. A new edition of this form is coming soon. In the meantime, customers may file using the 04/11/13 edition. No previous editions accepted.

    Thank you...

  3. hi

there is no other form than the one mentioned. to remove conditions, you only need the i751 and lot of evidence of bona fide marriage to get the 10 year GC

So... there is no biometric forms... like G325A and income forms like I-134 this time.... You mean there are no other forms that need to be included WITH the I-751 packet to be sent in...

  4. Hello everyone. Our AOS paperwork was received March 11, 2013. We received EAD and AP about 2 months later... We waited.....On Sept. 13, 2013 we received a letter from Robert M. Cowen, Center Director for the USCIS NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER, This letter stated that our case is pending and there has been a delay in processing due to" workload factors not related to your case"

The anticipated delay is estimated to be as long as 6 months from the date of the letter. As of Nov 4 2013 (today) I checked processing times and it shows that filing dates of July 2013 are being processed,, Would it be wise to call them?

  6. Hi Denver422. Could you possible share what did you do next after arriving in the US using K-1 visa? The papers that you have filed to obtain a green card?

    Thanks!

Read and follow all instructions to file. FORM I-485 for green card, FORM I-765 for work authorization and if you like FORM I-131 for advance parole (permission to return to the US after traveling outside the US while waiting for your GC. sorry for taking so long to reply.

  7. I am waiting decision on my K-1 application. I believe I have enough evidence to prove the existance of relationship. Visited twice since we met, communications, money transfers, pictures, bank statements showing that she was using my american bank card for over year in my native country until I stopped it. But I want to fly to home to attend the interview with her because I am not happy with some of her answers to possible questions and that scares me sometimes. She thinks since I have filed for her, AO will just call her to come for the visa. Also she is been there once for student visa but was refused. Do you think my presence with her will improve her chances of getting the visa?

    Be careful and good luck.....

  8. You don't need all that stuff for AP. Just read the instructions. Yes, you do need 2 passport photos, but it doesn't ask for G-325A or anything like that. You do not need an additional explanation sheet either, as that is waived for people with pending I-485. You can put "unknown" for trip plans. Include a copy of your NOA1 from the I-485 so it is free.

Yes I forgot that its free to apply if you include a copy of your NOA1 from your I-485, and I simply listed all that I included with mine. Even though its not all required I included it anyway cos its not difficult or time consuming, so why not. :)

  9. Hi everyone!

I should have applied for an AP before with my AOS and EAD application but never thought it would have been needed at the time, I regret it now because I'm still waiting for my AOS and it's been about 11 months of waiting now and I really want to be able to go back to Sweden this Summer for my sisters graduation.

In the description on how to apply for the AP there's not a lot of details on what to attach with it, is there anyone that can share some good tips and/or check list to go by when applying?

    What do I need?

Do I need new Passport photos for example?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

    Thank you! :)

Form I-131 packet and supporting documents:

    1. Form G-1145, signed and dated

    2. Form I-131, signed and dated + additional sheet

    3. Form G-325A, signed and dated

    4. Copy of biographic page of passport

    5. Copy of K1 Visa page and Form I-94 in passport (front and back)

    6. Certified copy of marriage certificate

    7. 2 passport size photos with name and A# written at the back

include a cover sheet when you send it in

  10. i just really don't want my hubby to be stressed with the filing fee which is $1,070..:) as he is buying stuffs for his car shop that he is going to open on the summer, but he said we will file next month..:) though, it would be good if it is a lil bit longer than that..:)

There is no worry to file for adjustment so soon. As others have said here ,as long as you married within the 90 day period and do not leave the USA there is no limit of time to file for adjustment. BUT you do need to file as soon as it is financially possible only because sooner is better. NO ONE is going to come and make you leave or take you away cos you didn't file yet.

  11. Another question, if i may, while i have your attention. We have over 140 pages worth of skype history. Should we translate it all and attach as proof of a bona fide relationship? How much is enough?

I used 6 conversations each from a different month, organized chronologically, but what made them important for me to include them is our topic was about getting married. If you include ALL your skypes, that would be information overload for the adjudicator processing your case.

  12. Hello All,

I am new here. I am in process of filling out the g-325 and it's asking me for an File Number (the alien number) I originally immigrated to US about 14 years ago and have an A number in my Russian passport. I've since become a US citizen through naturalization and have a US passport. Should I use my A number in the G-325a?

    Thanks for the help.

The form asks for both an A# and US SSN, so I say if you have both use both. After all the G-325A is a biographical history of the person it is being prepared for.
