  1. To all EXPERIENCED Filipino RNs:

I am part of the International Nurses Program (also called TAP) of Florida Hospital in Orlando. To be considered, one must have the ff:

    1. NCLEX-RN PASSER (ANY state)

    2. SSN or GC

    3. At least 2 years HOSPITAL experience in the PHILIPPINES (as an employee (staff nurse), NOT as a VOLUNTEER)

The reason for this post is that the International Recruitment Manager of Fl Hosp informed us yesterday that there will be another batch of International Nurses in JULY and they are still looking for experienced RNs to fill in these positions (any unit).

Anybody interested may send me a private message. Please make sure that you have an updated CV and your hospital experience is verifiable as FL Hosp HR (International Recruitment) personnel will call your employer in the Philippines (hospital's HR) before they even consider your application.

Message me only if you are qualified. Salamat po!

  2. Hello A! Sorry to know that up to now you are still waiting. I thought you were already off this boat.

I have no idea who else got their gc since i have not received notifications in approx 2 mos.

Have you tried calling uscis again after my last msg to you? Im not sure if it will help but there is no harm in calling/trying. Just keep trying...

Good luck and hopefully you'll get it b4 the holidays.;-)

    Merry Christmas!

  3. Hello again!

just a follow up: i got my gc in the mail Oct. 30, 2012. Now we are so happy and definitely relieved. Will be back to this waiting game again in approx. 22 mos. yes.gif

Good luck to us all! God bless!

    hello again!

i called uscis on sept. 25. i was told to wait for 15 days and if i don't hear/get anything from cali office by then, call them (USCIS) again. i never heard/got anything and also didn't call again. i thought calling them won't do any good. they will still decide when they're in the mood to do something and bugging them is a waste of time.

i got the approval message yesterday (which was a month after my call). you should get your approval anytime soon. i pray that before oct ends you'll get yours too. just hang on in there. you'll be next.

if calling them will make you feel any better, pls do so.but i personally don't believe it would make any difference.

    Best of luck!

    That's awesome! Congrats!

Did you get that letter from USCIS (after you called them)?

All the best to you and your husband :).

  5. Hello again!

Last night i received 3 text messages informing me of my card production. i should get my gc in the mail in a week or so. I hope you already got yours by now. If not, don't lose hope. it is coming anytime soon.

As soon as i get a hold of my gc, i will feel free... can't wait to get off this gc waiting game/boat thingy. Hubby and i are so excited! He went straight to google and researched allure of the seas packages. hahaha.

I hope all our batchmates who are still waiting will get theirs soon. More blessings everyone!

    Cheers!

  6. Hello there!

Unfortunately i have not received anything yet. Tomorrow is the 15th day so i guess i'll be calling USCIS customer service again in 2 days... But i read somewhere here from one guy that they called few times and haven't received anything. But got approved almost 7 months after sending papers (few weeks after their last call to uscis). I will call again and see what happens next.

I'm sure ours will be next. I just want it to get here fast. By the way, the number i called is that customer service number written on the notices (NOAs n TRansfer Notice). I just followed the instructions n got hold of an agent mins later. You should try calling them too. Maybe it will help. It wouldn't hurt anyway.

Good luck to us... patience is the best virtue we need at times like this. hehehehe!

    Cheers!

  7. Hello again!

Any update re ur AOS application? I just finished talking to an agent (USCIS) and asked for Service Request. Was told to wait for correspondence from Ca office within 15 days from today. If nothing happens in 15 days i was told to call USCIS customer service again... hmmm. we'll see what happens next. innocent.gif

    Thanks!

    Hello again,

Just wanted to let you know that I have not received my green card yet. Still waiting...

Has anyone among the February fillers received theirs?

Best of luck to you all!

    A

PS: I_Am_That_I_Am, thank you for your encouragement message.

  8. hello there!

lately ive been receiving notifications from visajourney abt Feb filers who already got their GCs (all transfered to CSC). I remember there's also another MAY filer who already got his/her GC. His/her case was also transfered like us. I guess some people are just lucky. hehehe. Good for them. Im just hoping that we are next in line. I don't think we'll have to wait for long... It's coming anytime soon...

Good luck to all of us still in the same boat. Can't wait to get off! :-)

  9. you were asking earlier about how long it takes to finalize an annullment in the Phils. Just to give you an idea, i have a friend who filed for annullment in 2005. I spoke with him 2 yrs ago and he's still married to same girl and the process is still ongoing. Some may be lucky and will get annulled within 2 yrs but it doesn't happen everyday, plus, of course, it requires a lot of paper works and $.

I have another question about the fact that she was underage when he married her. I wanted to ask here before I talk to a lawyer. Would that not even constitute a marriage and could be declared void?

  10. Hello! I was reading some posts here and noticed your timeline. Looks like we have almost the same timeline so I would like to ask you something. Hope you don't mind.

Between Apr 1 & Sept 3, 2012, did you hear/receive anything from USCIS regarding your AOS application? Im just curious coz I still haven't received/heard anything from them since the Transfer Notice (also no RFE, nothing whatsoever).

Thanks and congratulations on your recent GC approval! good.gif

Wedding Photographs/Print Copies are one of the most important thing to bring... You should be fine. Good Luck

  11. Hello there!

Just wanted you to know that you are not alone in this. I am also one of the "not-so-lucky-ones" who got transferred to CSC. We have almost same timeline. And just like what everybody is saying, there's really nothing much we can do but wait.

Anyway, do u have any update? Pls keep us posted here.

Thanks and good luck to all of us who are still in this waiting game. God bless!

    Dear all,

I need some advice regarding my green card. The story goes like this:

1)I have submitted my AOS package on Feb 7th.

    2) I received two letters saying that my I-485 and I-765 were received and accepted.

    3) A third letter followed saying that my I-485 was transferred to the California Service Center in Laguna Niguel. The date on the letter is Feb 27.

    4) On March 12 I did the biometrics walk in.

After the biometrics walk in I did not receive anything else and it has been about 150 days since my AOS submission.

What should I do? Should I continue to wait or should I take some sort of action?

    Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks and good luck to you all.

  12. Fellow AOSers, good day!

I am also planning on getting my florida driver's lic and confused about this: DATA course

I am 34, have a valid driver's license from my country, have EAD and all other requirements listed at gathergoget website. Am i still required to take this Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course (DATA)?

I called their customer service number and the lady who i spoke with was not sure about her answers and decided to transfer me to somebody who she thought would be able to help me better. Unfortunately i had to wait for over 15 mins and got disconnected.

To you fellow vjers who are done with this step already, i hope you can enlighten me. Please...

    Thanks so much in advance!

  13. Hello Fellow Feb Filers!

I am also a feb filer and would like to join the "club". So far nothing good going on... still patiently waiting. Ever since the "transfer to CSC" notice in March, i haven't received anything yet: no rfe, no nothing regarding my AOS application. I did get my EAD/AP card in May. I just checked earlier if my I-485 has been "touched" lately but unfortunately nobody bothered. hehe. guess all we can do is wait...

Good Luck to all of us who are patiently waiting for the good news! yes.gif

  14. I guess all i can do now is wait. Hope i'll get the bio appointment soon so i can finally move on to the next step. It's horrible to wait for something we don't know when it's coming. I feel i'm hanging up in the air. yes.gif

Thanks so much for the reply. I appreciate it. Good Luck to us!

We sent the packet on 3.6.12. The biometrics appt came on 3.14.12, but no receipts. The receipts arrived the next day, but one was missing. It turned up the following day. I walked in and did the biometrics on 3.19.12.

They won't say anything about the biometrics appt until it's been 30days after the package has been sent. We follow my case status on the USCIS website. It will tell you if the biometrics appt has been sent at least.

Best advice? try not to get anxious, the days still carry 24hrs, but they seem so much longer when you are waiting for something. I barely have fingers because I've been chewing my nails. We had a lot of stop and starts gathering all the bits for the package in the first place I thought we'd never send in the package. Now, I'm waiting again... he's all cool calm and collected and trying to lighten my anxiety, but I feel like our lives are on hold and want it all over and done, so I know how you feel and it really doesn't help!

  15. Thanks so much for the info. Appreciate it a lot. Hope i do get the appointment soon. Thanks again!

Hmmm... Not really sure to tell you the truth... Just looking at the USCIS District offices here on VJ under Processing times it says they have local offices in Florida in Hialeah, Jacksonville, Kendall, Miami, Oakland Park, Orlando, Tampa & West Palm Beach... So I would think they will send it to the one that is the closest for you to get to... Is simple for me... My state is smaller so really not too many to choose from... Just be patient and you will soon know... We are having to travel 2 hours to Charleston, SC for Biometrics but as I said there are only 2 here in our state so is pretty simple for me... Hope this helps and you soon get your appointment ;)

  16. Thanks so much for the quick reply. I just got a text message from USICS few mins ago telling me that my AOS application has been sent to local office for processing. I also called the UPS and was told that i do have a mail waiting for pickup. I'm hoping it is my Biometrics appointment. Will go and get the mail tonight. I'm crossing my fingers.

By the way, do you have any idea where they're sending my docs for processing? I am based in Orlando, FL. Thanks a lot again! yes.gif

I mailed my AOS Feb 28th and did not receive my 3 NOA's till March 12th However the NOA date was March 3rd... After receiving my 3 NOA's it was about a week later that I did receive my Bio appt... I dont think USCIS can really give you an idea of when you will receive it as it really depends on your local office, how busy they are and when it the first available appointment they have... Try and be patient... I know is hard but surely it will come soon

  17. hello there! i just want to ask you exactly how many days did it take for usics to mail u ur biometrics appt from the date you submitted ur aos application? they received my application 29th feb, received 3 noa1 two weeks later and until now i still haven't received biometrics appointment yet. i've called uscis customer service numerous times but kept telling me the same thing - wait til it's 30 days after submission before i call them. i'm starting to worry. i don't want to miss my biometrics appointment. any advice?

    thanks a lot in advance!

Not sure if I've done the timeline right. How soon after doing the biometrics do you receive the next communication and what will it be?

    Thank you

  18. Dear Fellow VJers,

As i mentioned before that as soon as i get a response from SSA regarding Orlando Card Center's refusal to let me use my husband's last name when i applied for Name Change, now im back to let everybody know that the lady who said they can't do it received a memo from SSA main office informing her that K1 holders even without EAD and/or GC can do Name Change as long as MC, Passport and I-94 (valid) are presented upon application.

So this lady called and asked me to go back to the office and said she'll personally process my request. Although hubby and I are not so excited about the idea of having to go back there and do it all over again, we are very thankful that because of this event everybody working in this center now knows what they should /supposed to know abt K1 holders.

I hope this won't happen to any K1 holders or to anybody again.

Good Luck to all of us and THANK you so much for all your help.

    Cheers!

    Chie M.

  19. Dear Jay-Kay,

I would like to inform you that i already met with CS (earlier this morning) and he gave me one shot (Tdap) and filled out the Vaccination Record (page 5) and page 1's Last Part (Civil Surgeon's Certification). He refused to fill out Part 2 (Class A or B Condition) since accdg to him he did not do my medical and my medical (done @ home) is still valid for 8 more months (Also mentioned that USCIS should already have my medical exam record by now).

They seem to know what they were doing so i guess i should be ok. If not, we'll worry about it then. Anyway, my husband and I would like to thank you for finding time to answer all my questions. We do appreciate your help.

Thank you once again and God bless!

    Chie M.

There are plenty of people on VJ that have only sent in a copy of their DS-3025 and been approved. If your MMR, Tdap, and varicella are complete, then I think you are good to go without seeing a civil surgeon for the I-693. It will definitely save you money if you get approved without needing to spend an extra $150. It is always possible to get an RFE for anything, just so you are aware of that. Sometimes people get an RFE because they lose their medical forms and insist they get a whole new medical.

It is up to you. If it were me, I would send the copy of the DS-3025 and not bother with the civil surgeon for now. If I get approved, then great! If I get an RFE, then I would deal with getting what they want from me.

Read this post by Nich-Nick. It explains it all: http://www.visajourn...18#entry4971318

  20. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my questions. We do appreciate any help.

In my DS-3025, there's a check mark on MMR which accdg. to this form check mark means COMPLETE. Another check mark for Tdap and VH for Varicella since I already had chicken pox 10 years ago. I guess in my case, all i need is for the civil surgeon to transcribe these info to I-693's Vaccination Record. Or will i get RFE if I just submit my DS-3025 and not include I-693 in my AOS Application? Are there any VJers who did it and got approved? I am really worried about it coz I've heard that most of the CS here in Orlando require people like me to have Full Medical Exam when it is not even necessary. I am trying to save money if i can.

    Thanks so much!

First, there is no I-693A involved at all. If you need to see a civil surgeon, it will be to have the vaccinations transcribed onto the I-693. Form and instructions here: http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD

If at the time of your medical, your DS-3025 has the MMR complete, at least 1 for the Tdap/Td, varicella complete or marked with VH because you already had chickenpox, then you can probably just send a copy of your DS-3025 with your AOS paperwork and not even need the I-693.

  21. Hello! I noticed that in your signature it says Approved AOS so i figured maybe you can help me. Please...

In Form G-325A upper right corner it asks for FILE NUMBER and there's A written inside the box. What should i write there? Does it refer to Alien Registration Number? What's the 'FILE NUMBER" for? It's confusing. Please help. Thanks so much in advance!

    Chie M.

Wait to see if you get an RFE. If you send it in now it may not get with your applications.

  22. Thank you so much for the reply. We do appreciate it!

My DS-3025 says INSUFFICIENT TIME INTERVAL and it was done Oct. 2011 (approx 4 mos old). Am i right in assuming that if the doc requires me to receive shot/s, i should only get TWO (both ticked as Insufficient time interval) or maybe i won't need any shot anymore since it also says I'm eligible for blanket waiver...??? yes.gif

And is my understanding of this I-693 correct - I only need to submit page 1- Personal Info, Summary of Me Exam and Civil Surgeon's Certification and page 5 - Vaccination Record?

Depends why it is incomplete. If the reason is "age inappropriate" then you do not need I-693 if your DS-3025 is less than 1 year old. If it's incomplete for another reason or if your medical was done over a year ago, then you need I-693 from a civil surgeon.
