Our Story
Hien an I met online and were immediately attracted to each other. We chatted and sent emails back and forth. Soon I was wanting to go to Vietnam and visit Hien to see if we truly did have something real. I went to Ho Chi Minh City in January 2005 and had an awesome time with Hien and her family. I have never been treated so kind. They really made me feel like family. Even with the language and cultural differences, Hien and I were falling madly inlove. We were stuck to each other like glue. I seriously have never quite felt this sure about anyone in my life. I honestly cried when I left her in Vietnam. As soon as I got home I started researching the Visa process. I have to admit, that this whole process has me a bit overwhelmed. I'm not giving up .. Im willing to be patient and muck thru this whole thing. In May 2005, I went back to Ho Chi Minh and stayed for 2 weeks. We celebrated our Engagement party and had a traditional Le Dinh Hon with her whole extended family. I visited the village where Hien is from in Ben Tre. We had an amazing time together. Since I've been back, Hien has recieved her Packet 4 and we are waiting now for her Interview on Sept 13th. We are already planning our wedding for Sept 25th in HCM. And if all goes as planned we should both be flying back to S.F. on the same flight on October 1st.
