Oh Wow Congrats !  I did My Bio on 26/10/2020  Still waiting for Interview  .

How long did you wait between bio and Interview letter ,  I see that you have 11-10-2020: New rescheduled biometrics appointment and finished biometrics.

Just want to make sure I'm reading it correct .

    Thanks.

Yup that is accurate on my timeline, so basically 23 days after biometrics.

  2. Just would like to share, my wife applied for naturalization this year on March 11. The biometrics appointment got cancelled due to covid like everybody else, after the ASC reopened we have been emailing via My USCIS site and have not been getting right response, finally 2 weeks ago we called USCIS and explained the situation, they went ahead and rescheduled the biometrics, received new appointment letter few days later. Today she just finished her biometrics appointment, we'll update as soon as things progressed.

  3. 3 days? As in 3 days after the interview?

Were you guys tracking it at all thru 2go using your MNL#??

3 business days. We went to the interview on August 11 (Thursday) and received the visa packet Tuesday (August 15). 5 days if counting weekend.

We were able to track the package visa MNL # and it only went to the system August 14 (Monday).

  4. Just want to make an update and ask the questions again. Now that my petition for my wife is on the interview stage,

1.) Is it still okay if I'm still here in the Philippines with my wife? (Staying up to 1 year now. Doing my US work thru internet/remote desktop) I'm really planning to return to the US with my wife that is why I'm waiting for her visa before leaving.

2.) Can I come to the interview with my wife?

    Thats all thanks!

  5. Yes, that's OK and preferred. If you qualify as the joint sponsor based on your own income, the fact that you live in your mother's house is of no concern. Just complete the I-864 or I-864EZ as applicable, as if you currently live alone and have no dependents.

Ok thanks! This makes it a little easier now.

But just in case if I need a joint sponsor, do I need to fill up I-864 and I-864A for my mother? or just an I-864A

  6. If your income is sufficient then no joint sponsor is needed. Do you claim anyone else as dependents on your tax return? Any minor children? If no and no, then your household is two.

That's good news then. So just to be clear, I live with my parents and brothers and I am not a dependent of of any of them, vice versa.

I'm going to revise my I-864 and indicate that I will be the only sponsor and the household is 2. Is this okay?

  7. PS Quick question, if my mother lives with me in the household but they are not my dependent, am I allowed to just be the sponsor and not included my mother just like you mentioned

Do you live in your parents' home? Are there any other people living there (sisters? brothers?)? Do you have any income or is it mostly from your mom for the affidavit of support?

Yes. My 2 brother also lives there. I have enough income if I look at the poverty guide for the household size of 2. What should I indicate?

  8. Look at the US poverty guidelines first. You said mom lives with you, so this will make a family of household size of 3 (you, mother and new wife). Look at the poverty line for 2011 for a family of 3 and multiply by 125%. Which will be the total income you need to be able to support you new wife. Can you, by yourself meet this income test. If not you can have your mother be a cosponsor and then you would need her to fill out form I864A for you.

PS I believe the US poverty line for 2011 for a family of 3 is 18,530x125%=23162.5 (please someone correct me if i am wrong, I did not have to worry about that part of my app). Of course on form I864 you can choose to include your mom or not (in 21g). If your mom is not your dependent (you are not providing most of her support and you don't need her income to reach the poverty guideline you don't have to include her).

Hope this helps. Sorry for the long winded answer. That is the best I could do with the info you gave us.

Thank you for the response. My yearly income did not meet the US Povert guideline that is why I have to include my mother as co sponsor (is it also correct to refer my mother as the joint sponsor?).

Do I also fill up an I-864 for my mother? Also should my wife (beneficiary) be included as a household member? I'm a little confused with that.

My mother also filed a joint tax return with my father so I'm assuming I might fill up another I-863. What should I do?

    Again thanks for the response

  9. Hello, I need advice on what to do next. I sent my application last July 2010 and after sending I flew to the Philippines to stay with my wife and I am still here today. Now our I-130 has been approved last March 21, 2010. I got an email from NVC that contains AOS Processing Bill which I paid immediately (04/02/2001). I'm now looking at the Choice of Address/Agent DS-3032 Form, now:

    1. Who should I assign?

    2. Is it okay if I'm still here in the Philippines? (staying over 6 months now)

    3. What else should I do next?

Please help as I'm a little bit confused. Thank you!

  10. There has been a status update for my case:

    Initial Review

On November 2, 2010, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

What does this mean? Will the time it takes to process goes back to zero? It was originally sent from Chicago lock box to California Service Center.
