Canadian forum?? i will be going through montreal unfortunatly so the interview date will take a while but i dont mind gives us more time for wedding planning and getting court papers finalised for my son

Just got a phonecall from my fiancé he received our Hard copy in the mail today dated nov 17th!!! i have never felt so relieved in my life

I thought so too , I guess not. 150 days is nearing and i can't wait to tell my fiancé to call in and find out what is going on. He seems so relaxed about it all, I dont understand how he can not be stressed at all.

What i mean is that the child does not have to travel to visit the other parent. If the mother wants to do the traveling to come visit im sure she can under a tourist visa ..

personally the father of my child wont behaving any visitation rights and its specified on court papers so i dont exactly know how that would work if hes still on good terms with his ex-wife and she wishes to see her kid

From what ive looked up for my own son you have to have sole custody(since his ex wife has it he will have to go to court to fight for custody unless she is willing to give him full custody right away) and when that is done you need the court papers (or letter) stating that he has sole custody and that there are no visitations from his ex-wife.

as for k1 being written on the letter im not sure. I think that her writting that he will be receiving full custody of (childs name) and that he has permission to bring the child to the us for permanent residency is enough.

Im not too familiar with this but since his process to become legal in canada is basically pending and hes waiting couldnt he just call them and have them cancel his file or something of the sort so that he can return the united states (since thats where you wish to reside)

According to this you have to wait to receive the packet 4 which they will issue after receiving packet3 and it will contain your interview date.

As you can see you can send in 1 or you can send in more and it doesnt affect how they process your petition.

Never hurts to put in more. the way i see it is better more and be safe than sorry and receive an rfe.
