    Are we supposed to receive a notice in the mail acknowledging that the IR1 holder has arrived in the US and will be sent a green card soon? I'm worried that CBP didn't send notice to USCIS when my wife arrived and that it isn't being processed. I already paid the green card processing fee well in advance - when i search the status of the receipt number it still only says they have received my payment and will process the green card when she arrives. Is it normal to take so long to receive it?

    besides the CFO stamp on the visa, does immigration require any other documents or evidence?

    I have tax transcripts for 2021, 2022, 2023 but haven't received all my documents yet to be able to file the 2024 taxes yet My wife will have her embassy interview on 2-12 Will my W2s be enough to satisfy the requirements for 2024?

    why might the embassy give less than 6 months? (I’m guessing they are going by 6 months from the date of the medical exam)??

    My wife was told at SLEC that immigration may not honor the validity of the medical through the 6 month period and that it’s risky to try to leave the Philippines close to the expiration date. aren’t they legally obligated to honor the medical exam clearance for 6 months? can immigration at the airport decide arbitrarily how long her medical exam is good for?
