  1. So happy - one journey's almost done and the next is about to begin. I'm looking forward to receiving my visa and moving south to be with my husband - just counting down the days!

  2. Living in hope and waiting . . . .

Good news - the congressman's office came through for us and we received email confirming our approval/NOA2 today! yay!

  3. Response from TSC to RFE - wait 60 days for response - it's a joke, right?

Back to the congressman with an immediate response and direction to TSC to expedite review of our case. Please, God, please let this work in our favour this time . . . . .

  4. Trying to stay positive . . .

  5. Congratulations - it looks like you got approved! Good luck to you and your family!

  6. Great - now we have an RFE!

It's been a month since we rec'd our RFE and 2 weeks since we replied and still no word from TSC regarding our status. It feels like we're in a black hole and this will never end. It makes it really hard to imagine having a normal life with my husband.

We just received word from USCIS/TSC that we must now wait 60 days for them to respond to our reply. Best case scenario has me getting my visa in November - 17 months after NOA1.

      This really redefines "black hole"

  7. Congratulations on being approved! That's fantastic! It gives the rest of us hope.

  8. My husband contacted his congressman & heard today that our file will be processed in 45 days and go to NVC in about 2 months.

In spite of all the email and letters we received from TSC, our congressman's office found that our file had never been touched.Thankfully, our case is now moving forward. If all goes well, I'll get my visa in October - just as if we had applied in November instead of July.

Thank you Jenny! Good luck to you and your beloved as well!

  9. That is SO good. I will definitely read your post as the time draws near. As you may know, we haven't been approved at TSC. They tell us it may be May before it happens (Nov 24th+180 days). With +/- 6-7 months at NVC & Montreal, I will be lucky to get my visa & join my husband in December. It is very sad. I choose to stay sane by focusing on my life right now.

  10. Congratulations!

  11. Oops - wishing you Lotojoy! 8)

  12. Thank you Loto - It's lovely to see the photo of your wife and daughter. What was your experience like after the interview and adjusting to life as a family in the USA? From my vantage point it seems like it must be nirvana/a honeymoon, but I'd like to ask you, how does it feel for you and your wife? Were there any 'hiccups' that it may be helpful for us to know about? Wishing y...

  13. Now at the 5-month mark and still no word . . .

  14. Still trying to stay positive - there isn't anything to support that (like a NOA2 or anything concrete) except that it's better than the alternative. I cannot believe how unfairly our files have been managed. I just hope that it turns around soon and that we all soon have a reason to believe in some kind of goodness in this world.

  15. I'm looking forward to getting some good news - soon!

  16. Good luck with your interview

  17. Congratulations Loto on your approval - so, so happy for you both(and so inspired)- best wishes for the future of your dreams!

  18. Hello Saylin: Could you please add to the spreadsheet that I was notified of post-decision activity on Nov 23rd. Only one touch on the 24th. Thank you!

  19. Thank you, Patience. The sooner the better. Every day I need to try hard to be patient and keep my spirits high - it pays to maintain perspective when you realise that there are about 5 or 6 months (1 month at NVC + 5 months at Montreal consulate) to go before I can be with my honey.

  20. Good luck for your interview this week, Patience - I'm sure it will go well!

  21. Congratulations CRN - I just saw the post about your approval. Hopefully the NVC process will fly by and you'll get an expedite for Montreal. Best wishes to you all as your daughter goes to hospital.

  22. Congratulations Loto! It's great to see you moving forward!

  23. Hi! I'm just a few months into the process. I came across your entry while looking at Canadian timelines and noticed your dates. I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary, Congratulations, and best wishes for a wonderful future!

  24. I don't have a baby - but if I did they'd probably be there. Does my cat count? 8)
