I met my fiance in November 2009 while conducting research on female education in PDP. We met for the first time at the little airport and right away I could tell we were both in love. I spent the week in PDP thinking about him, and when we returned to PAP he took me on a tour of PAP around the palace area. We had our first 'date' at Paradise which thankfully survived the earthquake. From second one I knew I wanted to be with him forever, but we are secretly engaged as April. Our families support our relationship but I don't know if they will want us to get married so soon. Regardless, we are doing the K1 now in hopes of being together by December and getting married in Vegas. We will have a bigger marriage ceremony in 2012 when both families can meet in the Dominican Republic.
