Hello,
I was wondering if any of you dealing with Buenos Aires Embassy know at what point we are supposed to send in the money for the visa? It says that it needs to be done before the Interview, so do we just send it in when we send packet #3 in?
Thank you!

Thanks everyone for your answers I really appreciate it!!

Will they do a credit check at some point? Do they just take the face value of what I stated on my affidavit? Do they just look at the paperwork I sent in, tax forms, pay stubs, stocks info, and bank statements?
I just dont want my fiance to go to the interview and they say, "We received the 134, and your US fiance was lying" She actually owes a foreclosed mortgage of $280,000.
Should I try to get a cosponsor to sign quickly and send off the paperwork for the interview?
-
Ok, I sent in my affidavit HOWEVER as of today things have changed!
My background, what I send in:
I make about $65,000 a year, have about $8,000 in the bank in savings, have about $22,000 in stocks and bonds and I am single(plus the fiance).
HOWEVER today I just found out that my brother never took me off his mortgage for his house and now its in foreclosure. I had no idea I was still on his paperwork, as it was a deal from a long time ago.
I am freaking out.....
My question is- will the government do a financial background check on me at any point after the initial papers sent from the NVC to the Embassy?
Should I quickly try to get a cosponsor and send the papers separately and hope that at the Interview they will accept them???
WIll my fiance be denied if they find out that I unknowingly didnt disclose having a property and now its in forecloser???
Thanks for your help!

Check out this page, it says only the applicant can go into the interview-

Hey July Filers,
Just wanted to let you know that after I got the NOA2, dated 10/29/10, but arrived on 11/4/10 I called the NVC today and they said that the day it arrived to them 11/4/10, they sent it out. They said its all electronic, so as soon as they got the clearance they forwarded it on the the Embassy in Argentina. She then told me to call her back in 2 weeks. She said that in the mean time, the Embassy will receive the info, send packet 3 to my fiance, and within 2 weeks we should have all the info set and an interview can be made!
Looks like things go WAY faster after receiving the NOA2!!
Good luck!

Thanks for the congrats! We are super happy and hope the rest of this process just flies by now....
FYI They updated our status on the website, but I still have not received a text or an email.....
Hope the rest of the July filers get theirs soon!

Hello,
I have the check list of what I need to send to my Fiance so that he has the correct documents for the interview, but I need clarification on what original documents he needs?
Do I need to send my Original birth certificate?
Do I need to send my Original pay stubs?
At the interview will the Embassy have my original 129F packet I sent in? Will we be able to get all our photos, letters, and papers back?
Thank you!

I got mine today!!! It arrived today dated from 10/29/10.....I never received a text, email, or updated status on the website!

Hello!! I just got a Notice of Action I-797 today! Its the second letter I have ever received, so I guess its my NOA2. I had signed up to be notified by text and email, but didn't receive either. My status was never updated on the US Immigration website either....
The letter states:
"the above petition has been approved, ad forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance or if you would like them to forward the petition to a different consulate. The Petitioner ca also file form I-824."
Does this mean that my case has been sent to the NVC?
Thank you!

Waiting and waiting......Hoping it will come tomorrow:)

Hello,
I am still waiting for the NOA2, but I have a question about the paperwork that will follow after wards. My Fiance lives far from the embassy in Argentina. Unfortunately, that is where the certified doctors are as well. My question is; does the medical forms have to be sent in part of packet 3 or 4 before an interview date is made? Or does he show up with the medical information the day of the interview?
Does he need to make 2 separate trips to Buenos Aires to first get the medical, then go back for the interview?
Thank you!

July 7th....and nothing:(
If we dont get it soon, everything will slow down for Thanksgiving, then Christmas.....and for any other holiday or excuse these people have for not processing paperwork in a timely manner!!
My hopes of him being here for January are slowly disappearing.....perhaps February...

Any news??????
Its Friday, I was hoping to hear something this week!!!? How come the website says they are working on papers filed on July 20th, but they haven't finished the ones prior to that?
-
Still nothing......
I was hoping to get the NOA2 in the beginning of October to avoid the upcoming holidays..... I think come November and December things probably come to a stop-
COME ON OCTOBER!!!

Is there another thread about this topic? I started one, but then it was "moved". I thought it might be moved to this one, but I dont see it on here.
Anyway, the point is to ask if anyone has gotten their NOA2 yet being a July filer?

Hello,
I am wondering which forms does my Fiance need to get translated in English for his interview? Birth certificate? Police report? These are all in Spanish. Also are these the same forms we will need to be translated once we get married and he files for a AOS?
Thank you!

Thank you, I guess it was touched because it said 7/13/10......I guess I have to check DAILY, that should help with making this whole process go faster:~)haha

Hello!
I just got my NOA 1 so I have my ID number now. I have gone to the USCI services website and plugged in my number. I am confused at how you know when its been "touched" or when you get a NOA 2? The only choices it has to let you know what step you are on the process are the following: Acceptance, Initial Review, Request for Evidence, Testing and Interview, Decision, Post Decision activity, Document production or oath ceremony.
So, my question is, when you are in Initial Review- that is only NAO 1? Or is it also NOA 2?
Thank you:)
