Congratulations and so happy for ALL the approvals!!! June is a good month indeed.
I've been busy with hubby's coming to the USA. We entered the USA together this morning (Monday the 14th) via Seattle. Now we are just trying to adjust as I need to go back to work immediately. Busy preparing my apartment together is a new and exciting experience. So happy!!
Good luck to the rest of the June interviews. Best wishes to everyone's journey. I will post my review later...
congrats and thank you!

they asked me only some very basic questions just like how me and petitioner met. nothing to worry about. for the evidence, bring pictures/boarding passes/letters/phone bills/emails and chats etc.
you should be fine. pm me if u have more questions. good luck
thanks!
but i lost all of the boarding passes, only had some e-ticket and stamps on my passport.

sorry, I don't have computer right now so can't post long post. . But I posted what I prepare for the evidence packet earlier. You can search my profile for my previous posts. Also dress more formal to the interview helps to give a better immediate impression. Good luck!
Congrats and so happy for all the approvals. June has been a great month for VJ!
thank you for your advice, I'm so nervous now and my husband can't back to hong kong to have interview with me. I'm looking forward for your interview review later.
Congrats again!

lots of visits is good. The actual American consulate only asked two questions, but the first Cantonese lady who review our documents is very serious and a little mean. She asked us lots of questions: where we met, how, when, where we went during my visits to HK, how I have so many vacation from work, why our families weren't at our wedding. They are not tough questions, but she's so mean and serious in her voice that scared not only my hubby, we saw other applications were so nervous because of her attitude and lost their words and forgot the answers. There was lots of waiting around. I had to fight my right to get let in the consulate and wait in the waiting room with my hubby. Initially they wouldn't let me in the door at all. Bring as much evidence as you can.
Good luck!
can you tell me what evidence did you bring to the interview?
-
Argh!!! His phone is off. Totally off. It's 12:37 PM there. What.... The.... H3ll?!
cheer up! don't think any negative!
-
congratulations. i'll have mine by friday this week. looking forward to your review especially the questions the consular officer asked. a bit worried cos me and my petitioner dont have many pictures together. but i have lots of passport stamps. dont know if it's good evidence or not.
I will have my interview at 12 july, I'm so worry, can you update your review after the interview? thank you.

APPROVED!!! It was a long wait and journey at the embassy, but visa is approved and should be delivered within a week! Thanks so much for everyone's support and help. I'll post a review later. So excited!
yeah!
Congrats!

So happy and excited for all the approvals!! I'm leaving in 24hrs to visit hubby and for his interview on Monday...so nervous and worried still. I have every single piece of documents/proof I can think of, and my mom and sister are writing a letter about how me and hubby met and about our relationship....we won't be able to have it notarized though, just an unofficial letter from them...hope that's okay....
still about 10 more hours of work to go though.
Again, congratulations and very happy to all that got their approvals! Great job every one!!!
GOOD LUCK!
waiting for your good news !

Best wishes everyone!!
Meanwhile I"m so nervous...leaving Seattle in 6 days to fly to Hong Kong for hubby's interview. I confirmed with the US Embassy in Hong Kong that I won't be allowed inside the interview room but can wait in the waiting room. But I'm still so nervous. So worried if I have missed anything obvious for our evidence package. It sucks because we talk a lot on the phone (daily since Nov. 2008) but we don't e-mail/write to each other a lot. And our phone record...I use Skypeout subscription and they only store call records for 6 months...so since I didn't start printing them out early I'm only able to get the history from Dec. 2009...Oh, and my hubby couldn't get his cell phone record neither..
At least i visited Hong Kong 4 times already and we do have some pictures/wedding congratulations card...hopefully that will help. I also added his name to most of my credit cards so we both have our own card on the same accoung, and a joint saving account as well. Also we filed taxes jointly this year and I have the tax transcript already...
Anything I miss...? So worried...Between now and my flight on the 4th, I am going to be working 72 hours...I'm so tired...worried/nervous...
Hope it will all work out at the end...Hope we all have (good) news for June!!
Hey, relax.
Believe me u r the best!

No details though...that's what made me worried...I prepared all the evidence I have and will bring it to the interview with hubby. I will let you know how it go. But per the other member, they said that the Hong Kong Embassy do that and call people back for a secondary interview...not sure if it's a common practice or not...I guess the only thing we can do is wait and be as prepared as we can...Best wishes to you also!
I don't know. Most of the Hong Kong people are apply K1, they are quite easy to pass the interview, no need to have a re-interview.
-
It means the case require "additional processing" so the embassy don't have a decision yet at the interview. The other member said they are just waiting for a call from the Hong Kong embassy...I'm just so worried...
OMG! I'm worried too! My husby is very busy, he can't come back to hk to have interview with me. Did u know why they need to wait? Is that any problems during the interview or the problems of the proof for their relationship?
-
Congratulations!!
But on a side note, I just heard another VJ member from Hong Kong got the 221(g) slip for additional processing....I'm so worried now...Not sure why they get that slip or what's the circumstances. But it still scared me and I'm so worried now....
At least you are about a month behind mine, I'll try my best to write a review for you...
Best wishes and Congratulations to all those who just got the interview date!!
Thank you!
what is 221(g) slip?

Congrats!!!
Thanks!!! Looks like you will get it soon too. Good luck!!!

I also want to know my interview date, but i think i need to wait until the second weeks of june.
-
Thank you and good luck to you too! Hope that you get an appointment soon.
just call NVC, they still don't know our interview date.
-
I just received the email from NVC regarding the appointment date package.
Congrats!!
You are so lucky that you can get the interview date!!
I will try to call NVC to ask for my interview date too.
-
Just got a email from NVCInquiry half hour ago, yep, it is my P4... Interview Date is JUNE 21,2010 07:30am. Thank God! It is a June Interview
Should we book plane ticket right away? It is pretty expersive during June-August! Only July 07-09, the Continental Airlines has some cheaper tickets, but, also more than $1,000, plus taxs and fees, totally is $1,135.80. One-way, yep, pretty expensive!!
congrats! You got the interview date so fast!
-
Oh, wow. They sure processed the RFE fast!!
I think that is the false RFE, we had already send the certified copies of marriage certificate to NVC (we still Fedex our original marriage certificate to NVC at 17 May). After the supervisor reviewed, we SIF.
-
So I just checked my email and saw that I got an email from NVC. The email says we got INTERVIEW DATE FOR JUNE 22 @ 8:30 am
WooHoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
Now I have to get all the documents ready and send it to the wife so she can have it all ready for the interview.
I can't believe it!!!!!!!
I am happy!!!!!
congrats!!
