  1. Nobody here is trying to be rude - rather, we're trying to be realistic. If anything, the response given by the OP after getting answers she didn't want to hear is the rudest thing anyone's said here yet. By all means, OP can call and email and contact all the people she wants, but there is merely no way to circumnavigate AP, and once it's begun there's no way to speed it up or get out of it. You just have to wait until the IV unit has finished doing whatever processing they need to do, at which point you'll be contacted. Until then, there's is very little that can be done apart from checking in at the embassy/consulate every so often. I wish the OP a speedy end to her AP predicament, all the same, but there's nothing to do but wait. That's reality, and if that's rude, then so be it.

I came here looking for answer and wheither or another have them or not I can respect that dont, i openned up and asked for help and I respect everyone doesnt realize how they come off when they respond to a question another has asked but you are being less compassionate in how you word what you say or advise but I understand you just maybe straight up but then so am I so in saying that you were rude and who here dont know the realistic meaning behind the journey we are all taking but again I do realize you have your own opinion like many other but as a person you just choose to express in manner with no feeling.Thank for your advice and Have A Very Blessed Day!!!

  2. There is nothing you can do to expedite AP, it takes as long as it takes.

Most people seem to be stuck in AP for a few weeks, sometimes a few months, and rarely it can take over a year.

In short, there is absolutely nothing you can do except wait.

Im not trying to challenge you on what you just said and I do understand that I must wait but its already been weeks and months but im trying not to wait years and unfortunately I know tooooooo many people who are in this same part of the process and it has been over a year which I think is rediculous. Even if it took a year I'm fine but I know couples and it has been over 15months and counting and still no end to it yet just the same old answers wait. Now you tell me this Could You Just Wait With No Information as to why or what they are looking for? Look I dont mind waiting but I just want to know if someone is actually doing something instead of our papers just sitting some where being forgotten about and Im sure that is resonable any one would want that and we are all no diffrent.

  3. My husband and I have been in Administrative Processing or AP for short since October 2, 2012. On all the websites and every where I have searched it really doesn't give me a timeline in which this process is cleared up or why is it even being done. I called the visa office here in the U.S to see what could we do and on there recording it clearly states that most AP cases clear after only 50 days while I know too many people who have went through this and are waiting years and I feel that is ridiculous. I'm not looking for special treat of any kind and if this is normal I will wait but I know if they were looking for something or if something was wrong it has been 6 months, they would have found it by now. So Im looking for advice on who I can call to shade some light on this situation and why them so long to get this over with and give us a real answer. Since october 2012 I feel like someone has casted a shadow of darkness over us and we are trying so hard to find out what is wrong but every door or window we turn to for an answer is closed. I would really appricate any help given or even advice as to where to go. I was thinking the media but Im not famous or special so I dont think they would listen but it is time for someone to answer for this situation taking sooo long. Hope this reach someone who can help and have the courage to answer. Stay Blessed Everyone.

  4. Yesterday my husband had his interview, he said the lady at the embassy asked him some questions like ..who was i?, how did we meet? , how long have we known each other?, how long we been married? and how many times have I been to ghana? then he said she asked about his family and what was their names and have he ever had a different name and has he ever had a criminal record which he hasnt and he had a police certificate to prove it. But in all the interviews i had ever read I never heard anything like that being asked and she assured him everything was fine nothing was wrong with him, the paperwork or me but her decision was she gave him his passport and the binder of evidence he had and gave him a white paper saying awaiting results of administrative processing and told him they will call him and when they do to bring his passport.....What the h.e.double ll is going on(excuse my language)but how long does that take and what does it mean for us and what can I do to help us in this situation? I'm really confused and we really need advise PLEASE HELP...I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. ALL ADVICE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU SO MUCH AND GOD BLESS.

  5. Pertaining to what? I mean where did you see or read this so we can get context.

ok here is the whole story, today a good friend of mine when for his visa interview at the embassy in Ghana and he was temperarily denied and asked to come back on a later date with the information they circled on the paperwork they gave him after the decision was made and on the form 1 of the thing asked for was remittance slips in order by dates.

All I could think about at the time to tell him what that may be about was his wife's exit and entry stamps in her passport but if i'm wrong I would want to know now so if someone can help please do cause when my husbands interview comes up I want to be prepared and my friend is really down and needs this advice badly. Thanks.

  6. I have just recently finished my paperwork as well with the NVC and they said to give them like 20 business days but once you get your email for the interview you will notice that Ghana maybe slow but they are moving alittle faster now a days, so try to be alittle bit more patient and use this time to give all your paperwork you will be sending to him to prove you have an ongoing marriage together so by that time you would be a head instead of behind. Your turn is coming,GOOD LUCK!!!!

  7. false information... there are times you don't have to file. Fed IRS example:

Do I need to file a tax return for 2011?

You are not required to file a tax return for 2011

You are not required to file a tax return because your income does not equal or exceed $3,700, nor do you owe any special taxes or have any special situations that require you to file.

so why did you say that you need to file for your taxes when the IRS is telling us if we don't exceed $3700. that you are NOT required to do so?

thank you rob for this answer i was so afraid after getting all the other answers that i called irs and heard exactly what you are saying and i really apreiciate you for not being so harsh with how you explained this so thank you once again.

  8. oh i guess we about at the same stage of this process so i will tell you what i know so far, your 2011 tax transcripts wont be available to you until june 15th which be after the irs has finished processing everyone who filed this year and to get your 2009, 2010 tax transcipts you can order them now online at www.irs.gov or you can call irs at 1-800-829-1041 and you will get them in 7-15 business days after you order them but in some cases it may just take 7-10 business days. good luck.

  9. Hi Everyone!! This is my first time posting so bear with me. I am a self-employed hair stylist by profession and I do work regular jobs too but only when I need a little extra money. My problem is I am now coming to that part of the process of sponsoring my husband and I knew we would need a sponsor cause my income isnt enough and thank god we have been blessed to find not one but two sponsors. But the situation is that I didnt file my taxes this year for personally reasons and now I have no proof of my self-employment. My business isnt exactly a receipt giving business, it is always cash but it is the main source of my income. I do have other income coming in like child support but that alone isnt enough and Im wondering what can I do so this dont hurt our chances. I am presently looking for work and may have found a job but I will also keep doing my business. So please if you can give me any advice I will deeply APPRECIATE it. Thank You!!
