my brothers wedding was yesterday, it was a looooong hot day....my heel broke before the wedding, my dress was tooo tight, and i was sweating bullets by 2pm....but all in all, it was a very pleasant night, my brother couldnt have been happier, and it turns out, orange didnt look that bad on my and my twin sister...

ive been out alllllllll day getting last min things for my brothers wedding friday....shoes, corset, polish and makeup, a tie for sofyan dadada. the list goes on....

i think im gonna take a nap....first time that would be in years....ahhhh week long vacation ahead of me!!

my husband loves dogs, so does his brother, before our unfortunate happening last week....Max woudl sleep in all our beds, eat dinner with us, swim in the pool with us..kisses and hugs. the whole bit..

My husband has a lexus, which im convinced is his second love, and i have a cadillac, and a van...sofyan was obsessed wth hummers too when he first got here, but got over it shortly....hes been driving since like the 2nd month he got here, so he is use to the bad gas mileage on the lexus, i dont think he would ever wish for a hummer again

the thing is, im 2houses in from a major intersection where the speed limit is 45....he was in the back yard, as always, gate was locked....we think he wiggled his way under like a 7 inch gap....i let him out for literally 3 mins, went to call his name, and he didnt come....i looked out back...No Max, looked out front, no Max, hopped in my car to look for him, and there he was, in the middle of the street....

my 2yr old bichon pup was hit by a car today and killed instantly.....im devastated, whole family is, dont know what to do........

just finished a "floor selling" class at the headquarters for TCF....just another perk of me getting promoted,,,,,I did only sit there for 3 hours, and i get paid for an 8 hour work day....ahh time to catch up on days of our lives, then tanning, so i dont look transparent in my orange bridesmaid dress next week

going to my second job today.....tired as one could be.....sofyan got a new job.....with a very huge increase in pay, and waaayyyy better hours....NO MORE TAXI....thank god....maybe now i can see my husband more than one hour a day!!!

How many months before the green card expires do i have to mail in everything to lift conditions....for some reason sofyan thinks its coming up....

I have to work til 8pm....going 6 days now, without a day off....next one is a week from today....I dont know how im gonna make it...my house is a mess and i have no time to even clean...poo to 2 jobs....Inshallah sofyan gets his CDL soon so this hell will be over...

Sofyan use to say "open the light" way back in the day, but to say turn on the light in arabic you would use, Ifta il dow, which technically translates to Open....

sofyan has said soooo many things backwards, but its been such a long time, his english is pretty perfect now...I cant remeber one for the life of me

the only funny funny thing that sticks in my head is when he unpacked my bags the first time i went to jordan, i walked out of the shower and he had my tampons in his hand, he was sooooooooooo confused, he thought it was gum or candy or something, when i explained to him what they were, his face turned 8 shades of red, we laughed it off all night tho

Everything on this topic sounds sooo good, unfortunately, i havent heard of msot of it....maybe jordanian food, is specifically jordanian food but, our monthly staple normally consists of Mansaf, Kefta ma leban, Kefta ma tahini, fasoolia, (white beans or green beans) greek chicken, mlokhea, fish, umsakhen (sp) bamia, and a lazy day when i dont feel like cooking is Hummus, eggs, potaotes, olives, etc...

no we didnt, just showed ID , theres a list at the front gate of everyone who has an interview that day

My In laws are huge on flip flops...I use to get screamed at for walking around barefoot in jordan, i got sooo use to it, i cant walk around anywhere without them now...

Dogs, well i know how must muslims feel about dogs, especially ones from back home, but i think its just fear of the unknown cause as soon as my MIL came to visit, she warmed up to our bichon puppy, and slept with him everynight....I have pictures too!!

As for the leaving food out all night. it use to drive me nuts, but a girl has to ear...NO WONDER i was near death in jordan with abdomen and stomach pain...the doctors didnt even know what to do so they shot Morphine in my ####### and called it a day! after 8 months on prilosec, im feeling much bettter...lol...

the only thing ive noticed their real bent on is saying Mashallah after a compliment, or Alhumdullah after praise....also, my husband has made sure i never use someones name as an example to something, he says it will bring the person bad luck

Not ashamed, he does it, i do it, normal thing, Very important for me that we were open about things like that...My sister once dated a guy for 3 years that convinced himself women didnt poop or fart, and my sister developed anxiety about going number 2, and needless to say, it got pretty bad and she had to take meds for it....

I was always tempted to take sofyan to the rink, although, its been years since ive rollerbladed im pretty sure i forgot how!

I worked this morning til 4, then put off a lot of errands to catch up on my soaps....Made a huge tray of maqlooba for dinner, followed up with an apple pie, now im stuffed to the max, and ready to relax and watch a movie orsomething....Sofyans busy studying for his CDL license, INSHALLAH he passes the written tomorrow so he can get his permit and start driving his brothers truck for practice...I cant wait til he starts this job....No more strugglingfor us, No more me working 7 days a week, and we can FINALLY start trying to have a baby! July 19th will be our 2 year wedding anniversary.... think its time!!!
