    My personal opinion: If your loved one is not from a VWP country I would recommend the Cr-1/IR-1 over the K-1. The K-1 doesn't seem to be taken as seriously and you have more legal recourse with the CR-1IR-1.

      I agree. I started to go the K-1 last year, but God threw a curve ball that did not allow me to take that route. As soon as I was able to do so...it was so close to my next visit we chose marriage instead. Now, I'm so glad we did. If we had not been approved, at least my case would not have run dry before a second interview could roll back around.
