MadHatter got a reaction from VeeNDee in Getting acclimated to the U.S. - Guides and How-to's
    Hey everyone,
I haven't posted here in a long time but my husband and I found this community to be such a helpful resource when we were going through the fiancee visa and AOS process (already one and a half years ago!). I now work for a company which helps internationals get acclimated to life in the U.S. - specifically in NYC. I just wanted to give back a little if I can, by letting you know about some good resources provided by my company - we have a bunch of articles and guides to life in the U.S. Though many are specific to NYC there are plenty that apply to the U.S. in general.
    Some helpful articles:
5 Hurdles Internationals Face when Moving to the U.S.
    The American University System Explained
Raising Bilingual Children in a Monolingual Society
Getting a Cell Phone in the U.S.
The Basics of the U.S. Medical System
    And many more...
We also offer a relocation guide for internationals moving to NYC. Our guide: New York for Internationals: Relocating, Living, Working
Please let me know if you find any of that helpful - or if there's something you'd like to see an article about which is missing from the site.
