Any good news is good news for all.

50 days mark!
Good luck this week everyone.

Thanks!MSC just means your petition is being processed at the NBC. It does not mean your petition will stay at NBC.
Most petitions are transferred to Local Field Offices unless you filed from abroad or for some other rare reason.
-
My case number starts with MSC, does this mean it stays at NBC and doesn't end up at a local office?
Do all May filers have MSC numbers? Does MSC or other numbers tell us more about the processing of the petition (where and timeline)?
-
April aprovals are starting to come in. We should start to see the same here in month or sooner.
-
Congrats! We got approval yesterday and we are so happyy NOA2:))
-
How does where you file from have anything to do with the processing time? The processing center doesn't look at your address first to determine if you deserve special processing. No?those who got approved faster, filed either from overseas or direct consular filing. if not it will take 5-6 months for approval.

Congrats!Ahhhh! Just got our NOA2 email! So excited right now!
-
Thanks. You call, get transferred to a Tier 2, and bother them until they give you information.

How does one know if case has been transferred to local office? Are there any NBC people who's files have been transferred to their local office yet?

We have the same priority date. I just crossed the 30 days mark too. Wish I could answer all your questions, but here is I-130 timelines on VJ. Good luck!Hello May 2013 Filers!
I am a bit behind in joining the thread - filed our I-130 in early May, and received our NOA with a priority date of May 21 2013. Today is 21 June (for me in Australia) so it's been a month! My husband (who is the US Citizen) and I have lived in Australia since 2004 and we're relocating back to the US to be closer to his family. We have one daughter who is 18 months old and have been married since 2010. Obviously hoping to receive the NOA2 as soon as possible but also very nervous about the next stage! We feel we are going to have some difficulty with the I-864 since my huisband has lived in Australia so long and hasn't earned a salary/filed taxes in the US for almost 9 years! So we'll be doing lots of research about the Affidavit of Support and looking for any tips from anyone else who is in the same situation as us (both petitioner and beneficiary living abroad)! Also, any info on how we can check how the NBC timeframes are going (if ours is to stay at the NBC for processing)?
Thanks everyone!
Ange

lol this made me and my wife laugh. Atlanta also sucks for flight connections. My field office is Atlanta. I am F_________________________________________________________________________ed!
Glad to hear April filers are starting to get good news!

I keep reading in other topics that NBC will forward case to local office. How does one find out if that will / has happened? Case status will always say "initial processing", from lockbox stage to NOA2. Any thoughts?
-
But everyone's timelines are different... sadly think comparing is a waste of time nowadays (something I've come to realise by reading a lot on here.)
I think by looking at the link that was posted above, we can see that they are now getting to the March filers, so I am basing my wait-time off of that (that they will get to April filers in about 4-6 weeks...)
That's true. However, some April (but very few) filers have already get their NOA2's, but I agree every case has it's own timeline.
-
Mine went to NBC and was received January 22, 2013. It was approved May 10th for NOA2. However, it is taking them FOREVER to get it to the NVC....still not there.
My NOA1 was May 21 and it went to NBC. Based on yourtimeline, I should hear about my NOA2 by July 10th (about 3 weeks from now).
-
Yep. The action is now in February, soon passing down to March filers.Oops...they applied in February.
-
Approaching 30 days mark soon. Seeing majority of previous filers getting approved 40-80 days range. Another 30 days will go fast!
-
Mashallah! Congrats.

Yea, a lot of January filers recently got their I-130s approved. It's safe to say, we could wait
3-5 months. So most of us March filers should hear something by August-September, hopefully sooner.
-
Most of March filers are still waiting. One person got their I-130 approved in about 75 days after filing.
21 days and counting...
-
It has been 2 weeks since NOA-1 was created. Time flies everyone, hang in there!
-
How long are we expecting to wait? 3 months? Less? More?
NOA-1 to NOA-2 that is!
