We just received notification that card production was ordered for I485 AOS! No interview, and a couple of weeks earlier than we anticipated, assuming everything went well. What a relief! No lawyers. No delays. No RFEs. DONE! Whew! Thanks for all your support! This has been a great site.

Married Oct 30. Honeymooned in FL Keys. Got marriage cert in hand, ssn, added to bank accounts, working on AOS paperwork. Crash planning a wedding in 7 weeks was stressful but so worth it!

In the end, it was just old scar tissue from a broken rib from a previous automobile accident. It worried us for a day, and we did not get the medical results until the next morning,, but made it to the consulate on time. If you can, maybe you should try to get a report from your doctor to take with you, just in case you need it. It may save you some trouble in CJD and give you peace of mind.

I saw your post about your cyst, and I am sorry that it is causing you grief. We had a scare in CDJ when they took my fiancee's chest xray. The found something on her lung and sent us to a separate radiology clinic for an ultrasound (an extra 680 pesos). They wanted to make sure it was not liquid in her lungs. We had to get that doctor report and take it back to the clinic...

I'm sorry-I did not answer your question! No, you do not have to send anything. The letter will tell you to go to the website I mentioned below, follow the instructions, and when you are ready, get your medical exam in CDJ, then to the interview. You will get the medical one morning, get the results that afternoon, then go to the consulate the following morning. You should allow 3-4 day...

Then, download the DS-156K and fill that out, then download the rest of the instructions listed: CDJ 202, CDJ 400, CDJ 430, and OF-167. Read each one carefully and you should be fine. I know it's hard. Breathe. Relax You still have a wedding to plan, and the AOS, driver's license, SSN etc is all ahead of you after you arrive. Please take it easy. You don't want to have a nervous ...

Hi - it is true that the DS-160 is replacing the DS-159 at some consulates around the world, but not in Mexico. They still use the DS-159. If you go to http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html and work your way through the bullet points, it will be easy. Download the K Visa/Fiancee Packet and follow the instructions. Go to the DS-156 Link online, fill out the form and print two copies.

.....continued from previous....once you get the letter, you can go to CDJ as soon as you are ready. Oh, have you read the Embassy reviews? There is helpful information there too on where to stay and exactly what to expect in CDJ.
On another topic...I saw in one of your posts that you said you had to create a form and it took you 4 hours! What form was that?

Hi - you asked about why it took two months to make the appointment after we received the letter. The appointment is an open appointment - you go between 8 and 10 in the morning, any day the consulate is open. In our case, my fiancee and I each had personal things going on like business and family commitments that didn't allow us to just take a week off to go to CDJ.
