  1. Hi guys,

My parents are planning to come and visit me early next year. I am currently in the process of ROC. They came in 2010 with the B1/B2 visa. And obviously, it expired already. My question is what kind of documents they need to renew the visa? Do they need everything they prepared first time below?:

    1. Letter to Visa Officer

    2. Invitation Letter to parents

    3. Notarized Affidavit of Support I-134

    4. Copy W-2 statement

    5. Copy Paychecks

    6. 3 months bank statements

    Thanks!

  2. Hi guys,

I filed the i-751 CSC on Feb 28th. The check was cashed on March 6th. But I still have not received the NOA1...

It seems abnormally long comparing with everyone else who filed in March. I might be the only one who have not received the NOA1 yet.

I called the national service center, but they told me to wait for 2 more weeks and they can't check the status for me.

I wonder what might cause the delay and if I should schedule an appointment soon to check it out

So stressed out these days because of waiting.

  3. So when I filled out the ar-11 form online, I forgot to fill out the A number. I had all the other information correctly... but according to the form, the a number is optional... I am wondering if this going to be a issue?

    Thanks!

I know this question might have been asked before. But I would like to confirm with you guys.

I have 2 year conditional green card, and I am about to move to a new place soon. I would like to know if what I need to do is to file AR-11 and my spouse, USC, to file an i-865? And can both of these two forms be filed online?

    Thanks a bunch!

  4. My wife didn't have a problem getting back into the country with the green card with the missing fingerprint, but the customs officer told us to contact USCIS and get it taken care of

I made an appointment through infopass and went to talk to an immigrations officer. She said it was an error on the part of USCIS and told me to file form I-90. I am still waiting on USCIS to send us a new card. I didn't have to pay the fee of course.

Sorry to ask again... But do you know how long would it take to receive the new one after the filing?

  5. I'm not sure I completely understand. Are you saying that on your card where the fingerprint would normally be, the words "fingerprint not available" are there? This is a pic of what you card should look like: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/258323-new-green-card-some-additional-details/

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to General Immigration Related Discussion as this isn't an AOS question specifically, more a general Immigration question**

Thanks for the reply! And sorry for the confusion.

Yes, you understood correctly. The fingerprint section is filled with 'fingerprint not available' instead of my fingerprint...

I don't know why it is like that, even though they took my fingerprints during the biometrics appointment.

Thank you so much for your reply! I guess I will have to do the same thing...

  7. Hello,

My wife received her 10-year green card a few months back. We just noticed that on the card, instead of an image of her fingerprint, it says "Fingerprint not available." Is this okay? We are set to leave for our vacation in a few days outside US. I hope this won't be a problem.

    Thank you for any response.

    Best,

    Jin

    hi hi,

I got the same problem as you did, no fingerprint on my 2 yr green card... So did you contact the infopass? It'd so helpful to share with us what happened, since there would be many people have the same problem.

    Thank you in advance!

  8. Thanks for the info!

So you received the EAD after the GC's been approved. Will the EAD still be valid to use? I applied my EAD with AOS, now the GC's been approved but the EAD is still in initial review status... I wonder what they are gonna do about it.

Also i think it is so back logged with getting GC's out because i was approved on the 4th of may and the new card came out the 11th so they just waited for the new card. So people who had interviews over a month ago are just starting to get there cards.

  9. Thank you for the reply.

I should have asked the officer to stamp my passport when I had interview...

Anyway, I guess I'll just wait.

And I wish you can get your GC soon!

    Hello!

I had my interview last week, thursday, 3rd exactly ... and I'm still waiting for my GC too. But during my interview, the lady asked me my advance parole, I gave it to her and she kept it. I told her that I'm going back to France this sunday (June, 13th) and she has stamped my passport with the I-551 stamp.

If I was you, I was asked about the stamp during the interview.

I don't know how long is it going to take if you make an appointment for the I-551 stamp ...

    Good luck!

  10. Hi everyone,

I (k1 visa) had GC interview at the end of May and received the approval notice a week after. And now I am waiting for the physical GC.

I read some posts saying it only takes a week or less to receive the GC after the approval notice. But I have been waiting for almost two weeks now. Is it because the new version of the green card takes longer to make?

And also, anybody knows how long would it take to make an i-551 stamp appointment? I need it to travel, not sure if I can make it in time...

    Thanks everyone!
