Breathe! I filed the day before you and just got my NOA1 today!! /pats

Nevermind!! I JUST NOW got our NOA1!! *phew*

We filed at the tail end of March and so far not a word... the wait seems so much worse once you file vs. getting ready to file because now that others that filed with us have their NOA1's I'm thinking... did I dot that 'i' and cross that 't'? Good luck to the fellow Marchers!

I notice that a lot of peopl get their NOA1 in a week or so, and we filed at the very end of March and have not heard a thing! I know its there... so is it normal for some to come through in a week and others to take 2 - 3 or longer weeks just for the NOA1?

Question: Has anyone had a controlled entry in their passport? Heres what happened to me: I was working in the US on a TN Nafta Visa (Work dependant) A few months after we got engaged my job was cut due to economy. I had already scheduled a flight to Canada but it was literally the next week following my job loss so I flew home and then when I went to fly back to the US they put a controlled entry in my passport. They said I had one month to return to Canada. So I went back, packed all our stuff into a storage cube and flew home to Canada on time, and began the process of getting ready for the K1 filing. So my question really is, if you have had one in your passport did it cause issues for your K1 filing? I don't think it should for me because i was back within the time limit given, but going through this is nerve wracking at best so I'd rather know the answers!

I just found out that my Fiance (the american) sent in a copy of his BC with our I-129F. We just started this process and the package was sent in at the end of March. We've not heard anything yet (no NOA) so should we be expecting a request for an original document instead of an NOA?

I'd just like to say "hey" and introduce myself as a new K1 applicant. My fiancee is American, and I'm Canadian and we just filed our I-129F yesterday! I was living and working down in GA when I met him on a TN Visa but with the economy being so bad I lost my job when the company went out of buisness. So now I'm in Alberta working and waiting for our turn to be reunited for marriage and our happy ever after.

I have faith after readong osme of your stories that we will be ok going through this process. I'm very nervous about all the paperwork and processing times, especially since I come with a dependant.
