Weird stuff...Package received by CSC on 17 May, check cashed on June 5th and not a word. No NOA, no Bio letter. Called USCIS and they said, NOA mailed on 1st June. LOL

totally agree...so much unnecessary stuff. Check cashed on June 5th but still no NOA or biometrics letter.

Our case just got forwarded to the Chennai consulate. What is the process to contact the local VFS office? Do we first call and schedule an appointment with the VFS office or do we just go there physically? And, are we required to take any documentation to the VFS?

I sent in the Orignal PCC from passport office and a Copy of Biographichs page & a page from passport that is stapped by the passport officaials when they issue the PCC.

Better be prepared than be sorry

Not sure whay you meant.

But here is what i cld get from ur mesg..

For PCC from Passport office you dont really need anythign from USA.

Fill in the form2/Form3(one of them) and submit it to Passport office dont pay any agent anymoney its a waste of your hard earned money, FYI no copies they ask for orignal passport. HYD passport office is too slow, it will help if you know someone in the Passport Office else you submit and wait and wait...

It cld take anywhere from 15days to 45days.. Patience needed in plenty.

For PCC from Comm office.

Depends if you are in Hyd or Cyberabad.

But they too ask for Orignal passport when they issue a Certificate.

Dont waste time submitting online and waiting... go in person to Comm office and get things done.

Thanks Mir&Naaz for the response. Sorry for not being clear. Essentially, my question was related to when we send in the PCC to the NVC. We first applied without the PCC from the passport office and got an RFE. Now we are waiting for the PCC and wanted to find out what we needed to send to the NVC along with the PCC. Just the PCC or a copy of the passport too!

Also, I see in your timeline that you sent in your documents. Has there been any update from the NVC?

Finally got the PCC from Hyderabad passport Office

My Wife applied on March 18th and she recived it on April 26th.

I'll ask her to FedEx to me.

Mir&Naaz...when you sent in the PCC, did you send in anything with it like copy of the passport etc? Did you get a response to your submission?

When we send in a PCC as a response to a checklist letter, is there any other documentation we need to send? Like copy of the passport etc? or is just the PCC enough!

Good to hear that finally u have sent the PCC... I think you will get SIF/LIF around last week of Apil..27-30...

I think that somebody else is also trying to get the PCC from HYD,dont know what happened..hope he got it too..

I have been trying to get a PCC from Hyderabad. I got one from the District Police Office but the one from the Passport office it taking forever. Still waiting for it.....

My wife obtained a Police Certificate from the District Police Office but the report did not cover her entire period of stay since the age of 16 even though she has been residing at the same address. They just issued a certificate from the time her passport was issued. (a gap of about 3 years).

Would there be a problem with this?

The DS-230 does not specify but we submitted ours all in CAPS. Good luck.

When we get a PCC, should it cover all time periods since the age of 16. The local commissioner's office gave us a PCC covering the dates when my wife lived since the time she got her passport. They did not cover 4 years since she turned 16 even though she lived at the same address.

Yes that's what it is. I got the same recording They wouldn't tell me if the AOS was accepted/being reviewed/anything, but I'm sure IT being put into the system is what prompts the message for the IV packet. Once they get your IV forms the recording will change to "The NVC has received your documents...please allow 6 to 8 weeks (months, years, eons) for them to be reviewed".

We sent in the AOS forms and now the AVR says "Waiting for Biographic forms from Petitioner". Is this the DS-230? Do they usually say in the AVR if the I-864 has been accepted?

The police thing from the city commisioners office took 3-4 days. and passport office one took her 7-10 days cuz her passport has been issued recntly(less than a year ago)

Did not yet get the city police thing yet. How long did your Passport office PCC take? And, how long did the police office thing take? If we wait to submit the police report with the passport application, it will be late.

My wife got her 2 pccs from Hyderabad recently... one from the Old commisioners office(special branch) and 2nd one from the Passport office.. no it dint take her 45 days...
