did they reply to u saying ur doc's were original or not pretty quickly??? coz i known its been only 2 days since they transferred my files to the department for review but i'm expecting to get an answer by tomorrow lolz. if not i'll scream coz i'm polite enough whenever i talk to the operators and they never transfer me to the supervisor.

yea u should've waited 6 months atleast. for ur timeline, it was too early to contact ur congress person. o well, just wait and see what reply u get from them. all they can say is either we can't help u or we'll help u.

wow you have same problem like mine. I had issue with police certificate. I DID mail Italian Police Cerf. and they gave me RFE. They told me that I have Serbian police cerf...not Italian one. #######? I never sent Serbian one...and I requested for Supervisor. They did review it and told me to wait 10-15 days. i gave up and decide to mail it again. Its not easy---its better for you to sent it again instead of waiting for supervisor review...its waste of time.

according to ur timeline, they re-reviewed ur police certificate and replied bak to u in 2 days right?? coz that's what they're telling me that my BC is under review by the department and wait 8-15 business days. it means i should hear something by tomorrow...

they don't even know exactly what's wrong with the certificate they have unless they review it again. i dont know what info. r they looking for in BC, if its not original what do they want to have in it???

i can't ask my husband to get a new one unless i know what's exactly wrong with the one NVC has...

yep as the above comment stated, wait for ur NOA1 (application receipt notice) meaning ur file has been entered to their system and u should make sure that ur NOA1 has the correct info on it. NOA1 shouldn't take more than a month to receive but NOA2 which is the approval notice takes a loooooooong time. if u're lucky enough it'll b in 2 months but it can go upto 6 months.

read the guides on visajourney and get to know the website coz trust me it'll come in handy once u get ur approval notice. the real game begins after u get ur NOA2 so it's b8r to prepare urself ahead of time.

My lawyer prepared our DS-230 and said my husband would sign part 1 and 2 at the interview. I was very surprised because on VJ everyone has their SO sign part 1 but she said it wouldn't be a problem with NVC.

i wonder where was the lawyer reading the directions from...but from what i know is that beneficiary is required to sign part I only 2nd part signatures at the interview..

alright i repeat i'll not take no for an answer..lolz lets c what they say tomorrow.

no not submitted again but they r re-reviweing it and this time the supervisor is reviewing my ds230 coz the person who reviewed it b4 said that birth certc isn't original and i told NVC its original and now the forward my ds230 to supervisor and he/she will review it.

when NVC usually says 6-8 weeks i know it takes 8-15 business days to review all the other doc's

but this is diff. they have the doc's in hand and the supervisor is going to review it.

anyone or its just me. i want to know how long the process takes and what happens

darnell seriously u've been a big help throughout the NVC journey. i need ur help again in this last step perhaps. i told u, i asked that operator to transfer me to the supervisor and she was like i see that ur case has been transferred to supervisor for review but the supervisor will only b able to tell u whats wrong once they've looked at ur stuff. i seriously don't want my case to be delayed coz i want a july interview. tomorrow, just watch how i'll demand them to transfer me to the supervisor.....

i told her if NVC requests me to send another original one, i'll send them exactly what they have coz this is how the original document will look like if i send them a 2nd one. what will they do keep on rejecting it????

the gov't authorized the birth cert. agency only to use that black ink stamp they're provided with and that doesn't make the form a photocopy.

actually yea, it is normal not to hear from them even after 2 weeks but if u don't hear from them this week then u should be worried.

if u received an RFE on 22, how can u get a SIF on 23?? just curious. was ur case electronically filed?? coz RFE's take 10 days to review...

o sorry u got the RFE on 16, but even then the RFE's were processed pretty quickly. lucky u

atleast u're just waiting to hear the appt date. i was sooo sure to get a SIF today but that dreaded RFE got me today. eventhough i sent them everything they needed. o well 3 more weeks i guess. i was really hoping for july interview as well after SIF..

i heard that 2nd week of every month, u're assigned an interview...not sure and u might hear from them this week or the week of june 7.
