  1. Well.. here we are..

I gonna be married on Bogota this year on August, we have a almost 3 years relationship and it's time to tide the knot...

After a lot of thinking and read everything about visas, we choose go with a IR-1/CR-1 visa so I expect another 9 months living separate each other until next year she could immigrate to USA.

Our situation is a little particular, my girlfriend is 23 years younger than me so I gonna avoid the K-1 rejection and go directly with a wife visa.

What do your thinks about it? I read a lot of rejection based on age difference between couples and I don't want to spend money and time and then go with a wife visa..

Any tough will be appreciated it! Remember, we have now 3 years relationship, solid, good, reliable.

  2. No matter how I practice, whenever I try to say ANYTHING in Spanish, people look alarmed and immediately point me toward the nearest bathroom, si man...

jajajja.. Yep... Don't try to mess con el idioma de Cervantes... ;):P

Anyway back to the point about how much... I think more class is not gonna give at your wife better skills on English; she need to understand learn a language take time and patience...

    Best regard

  3. Hi there!

I speak Spanish, English and Italian; I considered myself fluent on these language but when I'm home I speak mostly Spanish with my folks.

I think you can speak one day just English and another Italian if you want; for dominate better the language I always see TV on English with caption; that help a lot with pronunciation and grammatical questions.

For somebody who have little knowledge on English dominate more or less the language could take between one to 3 years.. give a little more time at your partner... Believe me, it's not that easy.. ;)

    Good luck!

  4. ...Believe me it's the same in both sides...

My GF is out the work, taking care her daughter and sometimes she got depressed because feel like she is in free fall and never ended...

I tried to support her from here, work hard, hit the gym and, in general lines, tried don't think too much about, just I dream when we talk every day on evenings.

Mind is a motherf... and always find the way to introduce that kind of thinking but, like the other people say here, use books or hobbies (my is the gym and from her, the same)

Good luck for both!!... And if you think you need to wait a lot, remember me.. I'm not a US citizen so I need to wait 5 month more to become a citizen, then apply for a K1 and in the middle, finish with my divorce.. so.. always have somebody who have less luck than you... ;)

  5. Are you Hose the petitioner and a USC? As your post says naturalization pending? There is no K3 any more it is now CR1 and no it is not quicker at all. Whoever told you they were approved in 5 weeks is dreaming or that happened a long time ago. All 129f petitions and CR1 take 6-8 months or longer right now unless you are just lucky and they process them quickly it can happen in 5-6. Good luck in your decision

    Hi Barbara!

    It's like I think then..

I"m on processing for citizenship (I had some trouble with IRS and took time to pay and arrange some things here) and after that, start a K1 process..

Thanks you for your quickly reply!!

    Best regard

  6. Hola gente!

    saludos

  7. Hi there!

Starting my journey to get a K1 visa for my fiancee in Colombia.

We have now almost 2 years relationship and more than 15 trip from California to Barranquilla.

Now, after put some order on my economy we're ready to send all forms.

But I still think a K3 visa is more easy to get..

Yesterday somebody told me his case and he got a K3 visa for his wife in just 5 weeks from Nicaragua.

Could somebody tell me if processing times between K1 or K3 are similar??

I really want my family asap with me (well.. like everybody right?? ;)

Best regard and thanks you in advance!!

  8. Hola gente!

  9. Hi there!

Quickly question.. My girlfriend is living in Colombia; we talk about getting married and bring her at USA.

What visa could be faster to get?? a K1 fiancée or a K3 citizen's wife???

Also my girlfriend have an one year old baby.. If I get a K1.. could USCIS granted a temporary visa for her baby to?? At least for the famous 90 days???

Thanks you in advance and God blessing everybody!
