9/26/04 Met in Sint Maarten, NA. I was there on the last day of my vacation and he was there on contract playing baseball from the Dominican Republic.
Talked every day on the phone until he invited me to meet his family in San Pedro de Macoris.
12/27/04 I flew to Santo Domingo to meet him and his family there. Spent two weeks in a rural community of San Pedro de Macoris.
1/10/05 - I cried all the way to the airport and all the way to Miami. I realized I need him in my life, so we discussed how we were going to be together. We decided we wanted to get married, but I want him to meet my family before we do that. My parents are Mexican and he'll get started on the wrong foot with them if we elope, get married and I introduce him as my husband. He wanted me to move to the DR, but their situation is not ideal there, so I said perhaps we should try to have him move here first.
I prepared the application submitted it, got approved and now we are awaiting our interview.
