Thank you, guys!
I have the BC as international version. But I just wasn't sure what to do about the police certificate.
thank you again

Just a quick question regarding the Police Certificate:
Did you guys get a certified translation of the German police certificate?
-
Would anybody like to share their experiences with Advance Parole/Travel Doc on K-1?
How does it work? How long does it take? Costs involved?
Thank you

touched !
That's a good sign We got approved that same day!
-
WHOOOOOOO we got approved!!!!!!!
-
Thank you!! I hope you guys get a touch or better NOA2 soon. I really hope that this means NOA2 and not RFE...crossing my fingers and waiting and checking impatiently.
-
  OMG We got a TOUCH!!!!! YAY...I'm so excited and hope for the NOA2 in the mail sooooooon

oh yeah, and going out for a real American burger with fries and strawberry shake and drive-in movies...those are things that are always on my list, too, when I go visit him.
What I can recommend too is a Mission tour when you're in Cali, up Highway 1, and enjoying the Missions along the way...gorgeous...

Going shooting with John was probably one of those 'American'experiences I had never encountered in this form in Germany before...buying your ammo at Walmart and then shooting in the desert...quite impressive
-
I just found that online...maybe this can give you some information on what you could do...It's for foreign nationals in the US, but they recommend getting in touch with your nearest USCIS office....maybe a trip to the US Consulate would be a good move in your case
-
Gosh, you guys are making me nervous
CONGRATS to everyone who got approved. This is so awesome! Seems like something's got set in motion for us March filers. YAY
-
Nothing new here either...but I'm having big hopes for next week
Who knows? I know this waiting really is hard, and what makes it even harder is being so far away from each other.
John was supposed to get here in two days for a whole month, but with this ash cloud hovering all over Europe, the chances are very low ...oh well, holding out til air traffic is up and running again....hopefully SOON!

We are not booking or planning anything. Once I'm there, we're going to have a small civil ceremony, and once all the paperwork is completed, AOS is through, GC there, we'll have our 'real' big wedding with family and friends in my hometown in Germany.
We both decided that this is just better for everybody, since it's so hard to make plans and you don't want to have your family and friends book flights when you can't tell them exactly when it might happen.
Plus, we want to plan and organize everything together, and this is hard from across the ocean.

Sorry for the double post, but I've passed the allotted 'editing available' time.
Anyhoo, I think I will visit the local 'planned parenthood' clinic and see what they have to say. I'll update the thread for anyone else curious about this topic.
Have you ever thought about going to Planned Parenthood? You don't need insurance to get birth control there.
Check out their website. It is a really great place! I've only had good experiences with them, and they're all over the country.
If you're unemployed and not insured, you just give a voluntary donation. I don't know how it works when you're employed and married, but the website should give you mroe info on that.

Sorry, just noticed your planned parenthood trip... My bad.

So, J just got the news that he might get deployed by the end of the year...Of course, we don't know if the visa will be through by then or if there will be enough time to get married and file for AOS etc.
Since we've started the process now, we don't want to withdraw. We wanna start our life together now.
Do you guys know of any possible actions we could take?????
-
ohoh, I managed to really stay calm and go with the flow, but hearing about those approvals does make me antsy and check our case status twice a day now!
-
Though I'd love to think that we'll be next (our sending date and NOA1 are exactly the same as JR's) sometimes I think there is no rhyme or reason to who gets approved. It will happen when it is meant to, I suppose. Surely we'll start to see more approvals within the next week or so.
Definitely; it happens when it's meant to be...good luck with your NOA2!
-
Wow, this is awesome. I didn't think it would go that fast. Hopefully, we'll all be next

OK maybe I'm way confused. I did get a letter and it is a I-797C. It is basically saying that they received my I-129f and cashed my checked and they are in the middle of processing my petition. I'm actually looking for a notice that is stamped NOA1. Is the I-797C the NOA1 notice?
Yes, that's it. So you're good to go

Liebe Gruesse
Katja
Danke, Katja. Das hört sich ja gut an. Ich dacht mir schon, wunder und was die alles testen und machen...Liebe Grüße

Hey you guys
I was wondering if anybody could give me details on the medical...what is being tested, checked, etc...I know about the vaccinations, but that's about it. Thank you!

do RFE's appear pretty quickly in the process??
the way I am picturing things is they get my packet, deposit my money and take a look at things to see that there are no glaring issues. If at that point they find nothing obvious they then proceed to do all the background checks and send RFE's at that time if they are needed. So I picture two critical times that RFE's will be issued before a NOA2.
yeah, that's what i'm thinknig, too. I don't think we're in the safe zone yet, unfortunately. But let's keep our fingers crossed!
Good luck to y'all!

Hello, I'm new here! Hoping everything goes quickly for all of us. I hope those H-1B applications don't slow us down.
When is everyone planning on getting married? We have already set our date for mid-November, I hope that's not too early...
I just noticed in your timeline that you guys are getting married on my birthday!! This is awesome
-
Uh oh, what kind of mistakes did you have? Hopefully nothing major.
I hope they won't notice ;-)) In John's letter head, we accidentally put my old US phone number instead of his!!! :bonk:
At least, the one in the I-129F form is the right one. I just pray that they will use that one and completely overlook that mishap!
And I put my secondary residence in the G-325A form, but my primary residence and mailing address in the I-129F, which is not really a mistake, it might just confuse them having two different addresses listed...
Pray for us and cross your fingers!!
