Hi everyone, I had my interview today and it went well and quickly. Now I'm waiting for my letter of oath ceremony. Hope it comes soon. I'll post the time when I receive it.

Do they keep the original documents or the copies?

They keep everything thats why you provide copys.

Marriage certificate.

Lease or rental agreement, Mortgage. Bills with both names on it. Drivers license with same address.

You do not necessarily need his passport. However, the N-659, Naturalization Interview Document Check List specifically states to bring the original and a photocopy of the applicable items listed to the naturalization interview.

If you are applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen, bring:

A. Proof that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for at least the past three years (birth certificate, naturalization certificate, certificate of citizenship, your spouse's valid U.S. passport, or Form FS-240, Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America)

So, if you cannot secure his original U.S. passport, you may need his birth certificate or another document listed.

I got approved on Nov.15. I posted many days ago, seems no one is updating the approvals now...

Hi guys, I just received a case updating email from USCIS saying my card has been ordered on Nov. 15.

I have a question though, right now I'm still in China and will come back on Nov. 23. That means I won't get my GC until then. I'm planning to enter the states using my NOA1 letter( the extending letter). Will that work?

I did not receive text message or email at all. All I got is a letter RFE in the mail box. They only gives me 2 months and 17 days to response, not full 3 months like some other people. I filed CSC, Not VSC
