I don't think this topic already exists for last month of the year filers!

I'm adjusting from B2 Visa and sent our package this morning so pretty excited to be finally over with the first step!!! All of these forms and documents to send... it is a lot of work!

The Post Office clerk said the package should arrive on Monday but maybe I will only be able to check the tracking on Tuesday.

What does happen after? I know I have to patiently wait but do we get an email from USCIS when they receive the package? We sent the G-1145.

Also, do you know if I can already apply for a SSN and a State ID?

Oh and I had to make 3 different money orders to pay the fees (yesterday was a fun day taking care of this.. ). The money order limit is $1000 so impossible to have a money order of $1070 for I-485. I went to different banks and they all said the same. hope they will accept 3 different money orders!!

you should have sent cheque. but don't think your money order will be rejected. You cannot apply for SSN until you are approved of EAD or the Green card.

Spoke to uscis. They say not only the pd shud be current, but the field office should have current turn around processing times as well.

i see. Quite possible this is kind of duplication which is why they want to make sure that they are approving the case for the right petition.

This is quite weird. They should have access to everything. But as a customer, we don't know what is behind the hard copies they are after. maybe some additional checks that are reflecting on the copies that uscis maintains.

I recently filed i485 for my wife on Oct 29th.

She completed her biometrics on 17thNov. On the I485 copy we received it says our PD is Dec 30th 2014 ie the date our i130 was filed with Uscis.

Now when would we be getting GC interview date? is it going to be based on the I485 filing date in oct ie 29th Oct when I filed the i485 OR will it be based on my I130 PD ie 30th Dec 2014.

My Field office is going to be Newark NJ which is processing March 2015 cases for AOS.

I am confused if we have to look at I485 processing dates as per the field office as our new PD or is it one's I130 PD that the uscis processes the GC.

Hi Can you all please tell me when does the aos petition get a review. I recently received biometrics letter for my wife. So does that mean no rfe?

I had mentioned in my cover letter that we will submit a copy of my wife's medical during interview. Also what does National Interest waiver mean?

I got my Welcome letter from nvc today. I called and emailed them that I have requested uscis to adjust status instead of consular processing. NVC will keep the case on hold till notified by uscis.

I am yet to send the I693 form and I have mentioned in cover letter that I will furnish everything during interview. Still is there a possibility of iw?

I recently sent AOS pack to USCIS and they sent me receipts for 3 forms i485 765 131

My case is being processed with national benefits center and the letter says biometrics is next step. When sending these forms, I mentioned the uscis that I will submit i693 form during interview. Will we get interview appointment or not? how will we get to know that Greencard will be processed in timely manner.

you should ask your co to let you add spouse as a beneficiary to the 401k. You can do this online if you are working for Fortune 500 co as these things are outsourced to 3rd party vendors. Take a print of medical benefits enrolment etc online. It need not be a actual co letterhead. but online copy is fine.

This is what I have received in email. What does this mean.

The only reason I did not submit it with my aos application was because I was not sure if USCIS will accept my i485. I had mentioned it in cover letter that I will submit the I693 medical form later during the interview along with other original documentation. Hope I don't get RFE for not sending the i693

Pls advise if my wife is allowed to stay in US as her i485 paperwork is in process. I just got USCIS confirmation email for receipt of all 3 forms 485 765 131. It also mentions that I797 will be posted soon and that I should look at uscis website for further status updates.

My wife visitor visa stamp i94 expires on 22nov. But today oct 29th I got acceptance of the above forms so is she allowed to stay back or should I call usics if they can extend her stay beyond 22nd nov if possible?

hey deki, thanks. Actually my i130 is already approved but i had selected consular processing initially last year. My wife is currently a tourist in usa and although we had really intended to go back to home country for rest of the process of gc, the surprise came in october visa buletin asking people in USA to apply for AOS.

So i am still wondering whether they will approve my request or will they ask her to leave and complete the process in India. My wife i94 ends in Nov 22 2015

Hence i asked what are the options i have. I have an attorney appointment today to consult.

Just got 2 confirmation emails with different MSC numbers and that acceptance of the forms at USCIS and it has sent to national benefits center.
