  1. Hi Everyone -

I guess I'm a little bit late to the party, but you can add another March filer to the list. Just got the e-mail alert of approval on 1 June, so counting the days to start calling NVC (maybe tomorrow?...) for the new number, and then to e-mail the embassy with the packet 3 stuff. We are soooo crossing our fingers to hope for a July interview date.

Welcome to the March filers DanVanessa :)

  2. Boy there approval rate sucks ha? They really must not have that many individuals working on I129F's. Researching history the average gor the my spouses country for approval is around 6 a week...And if they go by order it is looking like another 4 weeks for mine...that is if I dotn have a RFE or if the people in front of me have an RFE. Who knows since well we dont have a real Idea how they actually break down the process. Paper work that cost hundreds of dollars. Gotta love it.

For the most part, I don't think your country has anything to do with approval time.

Hang in there, you could get approved very soon :)

  3. We received email as of 7.45 (6.45 Vermont time!) that we'd been approved!

Dancing the happy dance now. I'm so glad I could be with my namorado when we received the news. <3 Now we're telling the family about the approval and looking forward!

(It puts us at 82 days. Stupid Vermont. >___>)

Congratulations to everyone who's received, and keep on truckin' to everyone waiting!

Soon we'll all be with our loves! <3 <3 <3

    Congrats on your approval!

  4. We all know the feeling of "the wait". I always tried not to think about it or check the USCIS website. But I did check Igor's list yesterday and noticed none of the recent approvals were from China, so I thought mine would take forever. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason on the order of approvals.

I read on another thread someone got a page at 1 A.M. with approval, so you never know.

  5. Church,

Do not forget that there might be additional fees, translations, certifications, and things like that also. I know that I have to pay an additional 45 to the MRV price. And the plane tickets for my fiencee to fly from where she is to St Lukes, and the other additional things she has to go to. In all after the NOA2 is Approved im forking out almost a grand for the rest. Good thing I have been saving every penny since...Heck I even stoped smoking to save money hahaha.

I saw a fee on the website called "Immigrant Visa Surcharge" for $45. There is no explanation on who has to pay that though. I had already planned on airfare and cost of translating documents. It's those "additional fees" that I haven't planned for.

    Congrats on quitting smoking :)

  6. Yup our petetion was sent 23MAR2010 and I imagine that there are alot of you that filled in March and sooner that are still waiting. Just think once we are all approved we will all be calling the NVC just like we check the USCIS websight....im still staring at it and it is not changing hahaha

Well anyone got any good news yet?

No good news here yet either. Since today is a holiday, we probably won't see much action until Wednesday. As much as I would like to be approved tomorrow, anything less than 90 days I will be happy.

Right now, I am working on the I-134 while I'm waiting for NOA2.

  7. Well all, I know the wait sucks, truly. You guys should start to see some hope and the light at the end of the next tunnel soon, at least. My NOA1 was Feb 22 with VSC, and after running out in the rain a few times recently to check the mailbox 'just in case the USCIS site didn't update,' I got a text message while talking to my other half today, checked the site, and lo and behold, approval as of *yesterday*! We're pretty excited, one step closer to forever. :)

No touches beforehand, and the site updates are apparently processed oddly. Someone else still hasn't had their CIS site update after a pair of touches, but got their NOA2 in the mail already, as well. So, hang in there - there are definitely moments that we thought somehow, even after staring at Igors list, the CIS trend data, all putting NOA2 around 90 days, that somehow it would be much longer, but while VSC isn't as quick as CSC has been recently, your guys time is coming soon. Even kharkovs and dswanns. :) Hang in there.

    Thanks for the encouragement :)

  8. While she may not have a birth certificate - she certainly has a hukuo book.

She can go to the place where her hukuo is registered, and pay for a notarial birth certificate -

    and then

take the certificate to a notarial translation office (usually in the same place )

and have it translated into english, all bound in a white book.

Suggest you get 3 to 4 sets made - she'll need at least 1 more in the USA.

GUZ IV unit knows EXACTLY what to do with the white books.

She'll need a white book for the police certificate, as well.

    Good Luck !

    Thank you Darnell, very helpful.
