OH MY GOD!!!! NOA arrived out of the blue today!!!! Kept checking on the site to get updates but nothing showed. HOT DAMN WE ARE DONE!!!! APPROVED AT LAST.

Sent off our RFE finally. They recieved it 08/19/2013. Fingers crossed that this will be enough. I inclued 3 personal avifafits, 3 years of our tax transcripts, Insurance statement in both our names for the last 3 years, and the lease agreemnet. (Which the last was a freaking nightmare to get ....KEEP Copies of YOUR RECORDS!) So we are indeed hoping to get a positive response from them. Lord knows why they RFE'd us in the first place. The evidence we sent the first time was exstensive. Anyway positive thoughts.

I think sending the IRS tax transcripts will help a lot. Send them all the things you can think of. There is nothing else you can do since you cannot send what you do not have. Hopefully they approve you quickly after receiving your response to the RFE. I wish you luck!

All I can think of you did not mention here are copies of both your licenses/IDs showing the same address, joint loans, lease/mortgage, beneficiaries on life insurance/retirement accounts, wills, powers of attorney, joint ownership of pets/vet bills, and anything else you can think of that will help prove co-mingling and co-habitation as a married couple.
I noticed that you said you will now be sending the last 3 years of joint tax transcripts. If you did not send those before, that could be a biggie. They really like to see the joint transcripts for each year of marriage.
We sent the tax papers before but they said they did not prove filing??? Made no sense to me. So we shall send the transcript this time and they cant dispute those. We have no life insurance or retirement accounts, powers of attorney. We already sent vet bills and every other bill we have. Alot of the problem arrives that I work from home and my husband is basically a very wonderful house husband. (DO NOT TELL HIM I SAID THAT.) We do okay on my income. Were happy with the basics. So there isnt any of the serious proof like 401 k and such. Still we sent loads and loads. Heck we even sent a notarized affidavit from a police officer. And we also sent copies of all our ID's with the same addresses. I really am still boggled that they want more then what we sent the first time.

Going through the letter from USCIS I have answered to each one of their request for verification. The asked about children ...I told them that between the two of us we have 6 grown children. They are quite enough for us. Plus we have twin grandchildren arriving in November. I went through their list and have 5 affidavits going to them. 2 of them are confirming our shared addresses and 3 of them confirming our married lives together. Sending them the last 3 years of tax transcripts. Plus the insurance is sending us a letter to include, showing our joint insurance bill for home and car. We simply have nothing else to send them. We sent everything else already....bills, credit cards, correspondence, a affidavit, a couple of personal letters from family, Our checking account records. (the entire records). I am baffled by the RFE. I dont know what else we could send them.
Any other suggestions?

LIVID. Blind angry. We provided them with more than enough proof of commingling. Jesus do the want to watch us in our marriage bed?! We just received a RFE for more information. I am the bread winner. My husband doesnt work. I submitted 3 affidavits but since 2 of them were not notarized the carry no proof. I sent in the paper work for our taxes but those were not proof of filing? This is absurd! I was methodical in everything I sent. I sent a abundance of proof. the file of proof was over a inch thick. I sent everything we had. And now they want more? I just don't get it. Simply dont get.

ROC NOA is more than enough to get entry in United States using your expired green card.
Thanks much! We have to hit the UK for a 60th wedding anniversary and then our twin grandbabies will be arriving 2 months later! Cant miss either.
You can travel with the expired GC and the NOA1 (extension letter); No need for a stamp (they might not give you one because you would already have the things you need).

I found were we would get a NOA for the application to remove conditions that would state upon it that it extends the green card by 1 year and is good for travel. Then I saw somewhere else we would have to get a stamp through info pass. Although we should have been approved by the time we will be going on vacation in the UK.(we all know how to play the hurry up and wait game) I want to make sure I can bring my husband back with me! LOL Any one with clarity?

I think we all detest these dreaded petitions. Not to mention the exorbitant cost. The best way to approach it is to look at it as a necessary chore - like housework.
You bet its necessary.....I gotta keep my honey. lol or risk a international crisis! And all the hoops that have to jumped through are a total pain and stressful as hell. Will be good and glad to have this done with.

What roller coaster of emotions? It is a very simple process, and probably no interview. Then you wait and get approved. It took very little time to get out application together and then we sent it off. Honestly it's not a roller coaster. GL!
Suppose we all have different experiences. Perhaps that alone should make you a little less judgmental....and your plainly rude. GL indeed.

Its funny to be dreading this as much as I did the first round of getting a marriage visa! We will file next month for the lifting of conditions. I remember the roller coaster ride of emotions we went through and am just hoping we shall not have to go through it again....BUT.....I am already stressing about having everything right so they dont kick our application back.
Anyone else go through this...."Oh god...here we go again"?

Ok, so I thought I checked every thing out. My now wife is here on a K-1 Visa which has just expired. We were married within the 90 day Visa.
I sent in the forms I-485, EAD & AP. It was all returned to me marked incorrect fee payment.
HOW MUCH WAS I SUPPOSED TO SEND?
As everyone else said the correct fees is $1070.00. Also the K1 visa expired as soon as your S.O. stepped onto American soil. The 90 days is just the window in which you have to meet the guidelines for the K1 which is of course to get married before the 90 days. Now dont panic! Your SO isnt going to be ousted or anything of the such. Just get your AOS refiled with the correct amount. ( FYI you dont have to file for the AOS immediately....we actually waited a couple three months before we filed due to money issues. It is however recommended to do so as soon as possible.) Hope it all goes fast for you and no RFE's!

If things run to course then here in about a week you will receive your NOA. (Notice of Action) DO NOT LOSE THAT. Then depending on many factors including luck they will send out the biometrics appointment. Just check the the USICS web site and it will keep you updated. Wishing you luck in your journey!
And if you update your time line it makes it far easier for folks to help you out because they will know where you are at. Also you can check stats on here to give you a idea about how things are running at the USICS.

My wife who is a US Citizen, petitioning for me, sent two checks to uscis. one was the required $985 and the other was the amount for the biometrics fee ($85). both amounts have been debited from her checking account by uscis. does this mean i should expect a biometrics exam pretty soon, or do they usually cash the check regardless of whether i have been approved or not?
i am anticipating and the wait is making me too anxious.
this is a family based adjustment of status and my priority date is March 2010 (we did some paperwork a year ago in 2010)

If things run to course then here in about a week you will receive your NOA. (Notice of Action) DO NOT LOSE THAT. Then depending on many factors including luck they will send out the biometrics appointment. Just check the the USICS web site and it will keep you updated. Wishing you luck in your journey!
