    Husband has ss card and has a job. Were still waiting for his new green card. Had a biometrics appt last week.

      We filled out another application, sent back the Green Card...and have to schedule another infopass appt. It was their mistake.

    Finally Got the Husbands' GREEN CARD today!! We also got a 2nd mysterious Welcome Letter, LOL. Now the SS Card.

      ssa.gov has a list of documents needed - usually it's passport and green card and filled out SS5 application.

      We probably got the card sat 9/11 but didnt check the mail till sunday. It was delivered to our PO Box. Thanks for the info milimelo :)

    We also just got our green card for my husband. Now to the SS office..what documents do we have to take? Do we have to fill out a SS application?

      Im sure it will be soon....I think we maybe got ours first since the mail would get to us first. I hope in the next few days you will get yours.

      Yeah I read that you can go to the SS office after 2 weeks of POE. I haven't gotten the green card either, isnt that suppose to come in 1mo-2mos?

      We went to the SSA today and they put him name in the system and it matched with what homeland security had it so it took ok. You need to have them put in the name as it appears on the visa. They said we should have the SS card in about 2 weeks now. We still dont have the green card.

      The green card is supposed to be in about a month. You never know. Can you email me your number so the guys can talk from time to time. I think it helps both....

    Hi Sarah...we got our pkg from DHL today. We didn't get to open it yet, but they send it in 4 business days like urs! Hope ur enjoying Alexandria, the weather is super nice for Egypt. Were in Luxor & Aswan for the next 5 days. Take Care :)
