Conor Larkin got a reaction from NancyNguyen in Naturalization Complete, 4/7/15 at Mt. Laurel Office [split topic]
    Good evening all,
Just back from the ceremony to-day...my wife became a US Citizen. Woohoo!!
We went to the Mt Laurel office, very efficient, people all very professional. Security is similar to that in the airport so expect to remove shoes, belt and keys etc.
As we were going for the N-400 interview my wife was prepped for the questions and was a little nervous. What surprised us though that not only did we have to bring along the required documentation on the appt. letter, i.e. the green card, the passport used to enter the country, our marriage certificate and proof of our past divorce. We were also asked to provide proof that we were still married...as all that information had been sent in earlier and we were not prepared for it so we were somewhat surprised.
However as we drove there, we had our auto insurance under both names, we had our check book with both names, but without them we would have been stuck. So in essence they your entire immigration file is there, and you will be asked go over all the info you have submitted earlier i.e. for removal of conditions on your green card. It is still necessary to bring evidence that the marriage is still legit and ongoing. So copies of health insurance, copies of bank statements, anything to show ye are still a couple will make your experience a lot more relaxing.
The questions we were asked were, who wrote the constitution , what party does the president belong to, name one state that borders mexico, who is the commander in chief, what are the two political parties in the US. My wife got them all right.
Appt was at 10:30 - and this office has daily oath ceremonies so at 3PM we returned and with individuals from 14 other countries my wife became a US citizen. It was a very moving and solemn event.
    Good luck to all!!
