  1. I was interviewed on tuesday. On the courier slip it asks for your name your address and your mobile phone number so they can text you and let you know when they will deliver, i was so nervous i couldnt remember my own mobile number and didnt think to give them a friends RME so have just been checking DX web site and to my surprise at noon today it changed from saying they had no record of my tracking number to saying it will be delivered tomorrow. I thought they offered the same service to everyone i didnt see anyone sitting around me with a different courier form. Anyway I'm taking them at thier word and booking flights tonight for the beginning of next week. Being a true Scot i'm way to tight to pay the extra for weekend flights so will be flying out tuesday or wednesday lol. We havent seen each other since june last year our son probably doesnt even remember his daddy for real just knows him on web cam. I'm over the moon that we will all be together for his 2nd birthday on the 6th of october. The time apart and the never ending waiting has been hell but at the same time it has brought us closer together and stronger.

  2. HAD MY INTERVIEW YESTERDAY AND WAS APPROVED CANT BELIEVE HOW PAINLESS IT WAS THE WAITINGWAS THE WORST PART I SWEAR. WAITED 30 MINUTES IN QUEUE OUTSIDE TO GO THRU SECURITY THEN WAITED 2 HOURS BEFORE BEING CALLED TO THE FIRST WINDOW WHERE THE GUY BASICALLY JUST CHECKED ALL THE PAPERWORK WAS IN ORDER AND STAPLED MY PICS TO A COUPLE OF FORMS AND TOOK MY FINGER PRINTS WAS AT THAT WINDOW ALL OF 10 MINUTES AND 5 OF THAT HE WAS AWAY LOOKING FOR MY FILETHEN WAITED ANOTHER HOUR BEFORE BEING CALLED TO SECOND WINDOW WHERE I WAS ASKED TOO TAKE THE OATH ASKED 3-4 SIMPLE QUESTIONS IT TOOK LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AND SHE TOLD ME I WAS APPROVED. IM STILL IN SHOCK AT HOW EASY IT WAS ITS NOT SUNK IN YET THAT AFTER ALL THIS TIME I CAN FINALLY TAKE MY BABY HOME TO DADDY. FINGERS CROSSED IT COMES IN THE POST BEFORE HIS SECOND BIRTHDAY ON 6TH OCTOBER. THE YOUNG LADY WHO APPROVED ME SAID IT WILL TAKE 7-10 DAYS FOR THEM TO PROCESS THE PAPERWORK AND THE COURIER SAID IT TAKES 2-5 DAYS TO DELIVER SO WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT SEE. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE WAITING HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE JUST AS PAINLESS FOR YOU ALL

  3. thanks for the advice guys i managed to get a really good deal to gatwick and the train from there to city center. I did look at the train option but since we have a lil boy who's almost two and quite a handful as you can imagine at that age, i'd rather not have to leave him for longer than i have to with someone lol ...thanks again

  4. I got my interview date for the 21st Sep in London and today booked medical n flights down there n back on 7th September. Its great to finally be able to actually move things along rather than just waiting. I'm so sorry Nica you must be going out of your mind, crossing my fingers and toes for real early October for you. Has someone made a lil list of all the people who have recieved september dates??? I likes to follow everyones progress. Congrats and Good Luck to you all xxx

  5. Looking for a bit of advice since i havent flown down to London before and planning on doing so for my medical and my interview, pain in the butt i gotta do it twice, never the less, can someone tell me which of the London airports i should fly into???????

  6. Case Complete on 11th Aug 2010..... wayyyyhayyyyyy ....at last :goofy:

Please allow 8 weeks for further instructions ......noooooooo!!!!!!!!!! please please please dont make us wait that long to recieve an interview date, not after making us all wait so long to get case complete ..... They wouldn't ??? Would they ???

London cant possibly be that backlogged so like many of you i am hoping and praying for a september interview date who knows our lil boy might actually get to spend his 2nd birthday with daddy if we do. I danced around the kitchen with him for almost an hour after hearing the AVR tell us the good news, i think maybe he believe his mummy has gone a lil crazy :jest: but i was so happy couldnt help it, who cares if it was past bed time, LOL.

The only good thing about all of this taking so long, is the fact that i am now an IR1 instead of a CR1 because our 2nd wedding anniversary was back at the beginning of the year, so at least i wont have to go thru all the adjustment of status stuff in couple years. :dancing: So who knows maybe every cloud does have a silver lining after all ;)

  7. I know my case number yes because the I130 NOA's were sent to my husband as for everything else the lawyer has been the point of contact and he has passed absoloutly nothing at all onto us, he's been absoloutly useless, i've had to tell him what should be getting done and when this whole way thru NVC, complete waste of time and money, but it was paid to him upfront so there was nothing much we could do other than stick with him. So guess i'll just have to keep trying the AVR and wait that extra day to find out, whats another day when you have been waiting almost a year :(

  8. Congratulations all you lucky people who got SIF the past few days.

Now if feels like i'm being left behind again :crying: Its now been 6 weeks documents awaiting review, i think if i hear that womans vioce telling me that same thing again i might scream.I can't even check for SIF coz the damn Lawyer paid our fees so i'm having to go by the AVR. Can you all tell me how long it took for the AVR to change after you got SIF please.

  9. I know you all must miss your other half just as much as i miss mine and yes maybe my position is a bit worse than some, didnt expect to be a priority. I was quite happy to take my place in line but after waiting so patiently for days, weeks, hell months only to find that yet again, with this process there is no damn line.

This is peoples lives we are talking about and they dont even have the decency to process in an orderly fashion. The last case complete i've seen for a IR1/CR1 didnt get to NVC till 15th July, yet mine was recieved 30th June and im still waiting for them to at least look at it.

I'm happy for them of course, but at same time it is so frustrating that these things can't at least be done in some kind of order, this randomness is so unproffesional. The fact an organisation can't even do something as simple as process things in an orderly manner just makes a mockery of this whole process and the reasons for it. This along with the amount of incompetance i have read about just makes me shake my head and think...it's no wonder so many undesirable people have managed to emigrate to the US and that so many immigrants are illegal. I personally have no confidence in anything they say or do. These people couldnt run a piss up in a brewary never mind anything else.

ok im a shut up now and go back to hitting my head off my desk and waiting :bonk::clock::bonk::clock:

  10. Well i'll be 44 on the 3rd sep and was hoping to be finished with this torture by my birthday but that looks like its a no no again!!! As for the tick tocking .... we didnt wait and now it looks like we are not even gonna be together for our son's birthday on the 6th of october because of this damn slow down at nvc. Its heart breaking our son will be 2 years old on the 6th of october and barely knows his daddy because of this process being so pot luck, and now it looks like we'll be celebrating another birthday without daddy :(

  11. Hi Folks, guess i should shuffle into this thread since NVC appears to have gone to sleep on us. My AOS and DS230 have been awaiting review for 5 weeks now and still no sign of movement. Operator says wait 6-8 weeks. What worries me is we are all assuming they mean it WILL be reviewed by then, but from what i have seen there hasn't been any CR1/IR1 get case complete for almost 6 weeks now. That worries me because really we have no markers, therefore we have no real idea how long its taking them to review IR1/CR1's since this slow down/complete road block began.

We waited 8 months for them to get round to looking and approving our I130(no RFE) and now this!!!!! It's cruel to torture good honest people like this, when thier only crime is having fallen in love and married an American :crying:

  12. This isnt a slow down at NVC its a complete stop for CR!/IR1.... not one IR1 or CR1 has moved in almost 5 weeks !!!!! This is cruel !!!! They are telling us to wait 6-8 weeks .... wait for what ???? they arent saying oh your case will be complete in 6-8 weeks for all we know we could call and be told ohhhh we have a huge back log .... like we didnt already know that !!! Has anyone noticed if other types are moving thru NVC like normal ....>>> off to check it out

Oh Im an IR1 been waiting since 30th June

  13. The reason we have to send our documents all the way to the US just for them to say yeah you have documents and send them all the way back again for someone else to actually review and adjudicate on, does seem kinda pointless but the reasoning behind it is to reduce the number of people/number of times people have to enter the embassy. This is part of a security tightning measure to make embassys safer...... ment to be.

  14. they received my documents almost 5 weeks ago and still saying they are awaiting review. Something aint right i havent seen anyone for CR1/IR1 being processed. I know they saying that they are busier than normal but if normally they complete in an average of 11 days this would mean thier work load has to have increased by 4 times which is hard to believe. I've seen and heard of so much incompetance at USCIS and NVC i fear the worst, i mean it wouldnt be the first time they have 'mislayed' a whole box of applications

Sorry to be so down on things its just this process is beginning to get the better of me, our son will be two years old in a few weeks and every week he grows bigger and bigger without his daddy it's so cruel that he be kept from his daddy this whole process is torture Criminals are treated better than this at least they get to see thier loved ones and know how long they are in jail for!!!!

  15. I've read that others have been told the same by NVC operators, that being they have had an increase in applications and there for the processing time is no longer as quick as it had once been. To my reconing the processing time appears to have increased from a couple of weeks to at least a couple of months, like i say this is just my experience and observations. I'd be interested if anyone has any idea why there should have been such a dramatic increase in applications ???????????

  16. Unfortunately my husband used a lawyer to file his I130. When the approved I130 was recieved by NVC i wasnt informed or given a choice of agent, they automatically assigned my husbands (useless lawyer) and within 2 days of receiving the approved I130 had sent both fee bills to him. I only found this out 2 weeks after they had done so because i called NVC. The lawyer held up what should have been a simple process that could have been done in a matter of days by at least 6 weeks !!! My advice is get the lawyer out of the loop ASAP!!!!

  17. NVC received my documents on the 30th June, i too am still waiting for them to be reviewed, according to the operator my hubby spoke to at NVC, they are not being processed as quickly as they had been due to a big influx of applicatons recently. Whether this is true or now who knows, guess we just have to do the usual .... wait wait wait and wait some more. >>> Long longggggggggg sigh

  18. Thank you all, i feel so much better after reading what you all have to say i thought it was just me, i mean that i was the only one who found so many differences in 'cultures' and the lil problems/misunderstandings that can arise from them.

My irk is why is it my USC husband always thinks the american way is the right way like it was there first and its the rest of the world that changed to a different/wrong way !!! LOL
