Hi, I'm sorry it's taken so long to respond, we have been traveling and this is the first time I've been on in a long time. We turned in the correct form within 3 weeks of the interview and received the envelope in the mail a month later. hi it wouldn't let me post this on your forum wall. I came to Ireland to be with my husband during the visa process after losing my job. We had to find a Co-sponsor and we use a friend's address as our permanent one, and he forwards us our mail. So no, she does not have to be in the states for you to apply for the visa. Good luck, it's a long journey

hey I am sorry for bothering you, i just read your embassy review and the same happened me regarding the i864. I was just wondering if you recieved your visa yet and how long after the embassy recieved your i864 did it take. the consulate officer wouldn't give me any extra info on it so i was left confused
