No tranquilizers yet, but honestly, I did start meditating again!
The visa isn't the only thing going on. Aside from that there is the selling of my house, a thesis to write and a wedding to plan. We're all in same boat here and I wish everyone good luck with their visa's. What I'm wondering is, how many investigations they are going to have to start in another 1,5 months

Looks like this thread isn't really active....quite disappointing, apparently Vermont isn't moving forward with the October filers...

*sigh* No news here yet either....Eggs and Toast are not amused!
Maybe I'll make som waffles later

Eggs....just curious to know why there is 2 months between the date you sent your I-129F and the date of your NOA1???
Uhh..there shouldn't be. LOL. Must be an error when I put it in. It's actually the 19th of October when they sent it out.

Come on Vermont...SHOW ME THE NOA2!!
And by me, I mean us all of course!!

Man, I checked the site like 4 hours ago for my case number and the case number before us. Now I just did it again and the case number before us has been approved. It said that they sent out the letter yesterday, but the site was updated today apparently.
Man..would be awesome if we were next...

Since me and my partner are in our twenties and we don't have any kids, according to that theory, we would fall into the easy category that gets whizzed through. Also because I have a unique last name that only me and my siblings have. So I doubt if that theory is truly correct. I personally think it's more random and your processing time depends more on who's pile you land on. With more "complicated" cases, you would think there would be more touches, because they need to look at the file a lot. Our case however, hasn't been touched since the 22nd of October....so it's just laying somewhere on a pile...

Meh...kinda depressing really to have such little control over a process so valuable... Also because we never received the NOA1 hardcopy. We had to call after a month of not hearing anything. They gave us our case number by phone. They said they did send the letter and that they had received everything fine. But it does increase our insecurity levels about the whole process!

*sigh* that sucks. And the thing is, I feel uncomfortable saying anything negative about the way they run their process while my file is still on a pile somewhere. What if I get the wrong person and he's like: Oh..your case number is yadayada? Ok. We'll see into it and let you know what the outcome is. And then he goes to put your file back on the bottom of the pile...
Might be too paranoid of a thought, but this is serious business and we have zero transparency over their process.
I personally also think it's quite weird that you can just check other case numbers other than your own. It wouldn't be hard to make all the numbers unique with some kind of hashing function. Even though you have no idea who is behind the case number above or below you, it still kinda freaks me out..hehe.

Congrats Bacon!!
Now my hopes for next week are high for us to get the NOA2 too!
Man, this is going to be a lot of checking on the site...

We got our NOA1 on 10-26-09
shouldn't we have gotten our NOA2 by now, or am i just being impatient??
If you are being impatient, then you are not the only one
It seems like they are taking longer than usual with the approval process....

You can't really base facts off of 2 applicants, but these are 2 applicants from Visajourney, right? So if all applicants from visajourney represent only 5% of all applications, then it is now 2 applicants from 5% of the entire population of applicants...

Hmmm..I've been holding back the urge to call them, but I think I might give them a call today anyway. See if we can get some more information.
Maybe I'll demand waffles and pancakes while we're waiting!

Hi people!
Since we are waiting for a NOA2 update as well (NOA 1 on the 16th of October, last update on the USCIS site: 22nd of October), I thought I'd register.
Now Bacon & Eggs are waiting for an update! (Hey, gotta get the fun out of this somewhere!)
