One more round of paperwork in the mail...I-751 petition submitted today!

Green card received in mail the other day, and has a typo on my birthdate! Now have to go through more paperwork...make sure you enter your birthdate correctly in all forms!

APPROVED! Green card to arrive in mail in 2-4 weeks...

EAD received! And interview date set! All is moving forward!

So glad the AP came! Now if only the EAD would arrive soon. At least the biometrics appointment was quick and easy today!

Finally got the biometrics appointment notice...and it's scheduled for a few more weeks from now, around the time I had hoped to have my EAD already! This EAD is taking much longer than VJ had estimated.

Hi Terri, I hope you've enjoyed your time in the USA already! John and I are now together also, he just arrived a few days ago. We were wondering when you applied for your SSN, as we see in your timeline you got it only 9 days after arriving. VJ advice says to wait at least 2 weeks to apply...how'd you get yours so fast? Any advice? Thanks!

Just learned a tough lesson: the police check must be fingerprint-based! The P3 website instructions did not specify that so we thought the check John requested (>6 weeks ago) was ok. Turns out it was only a name-based check (they didn't even ask if he needed fingerprints either). Now when compiling P3 we realized the fingerprint check was needed. This has slowed down our timeline ...
