  1. thanks jaaaamas when you attended your interview did you take the whole photocopied AOS package that you sent in? wondering if i need it all.....and i presume because your also from the UK all you recieved from your visa medical was your vaccination supplement copie like i did, asides from this what else should i take with me to the civial surgeons as i have nothing else from the doctor in the UK

  2. Our AOS interview is april 12th and i'm gathering our evidence. My husband is going to fill out a new affadavit of support as he had a slight pay increase at work. When we submitted the intial aff of support with our AOS my husband was also doing paper delivery as well as his main job. He has since quit the paper delivery and is just doing his main job. Obviously his yearly income has dropped a little. We will include this on the new aff of support, we are still over the poverty guidelines, this shouldent be a problem should it?

Also does anyone have a link to the poverty guidelines?

  3. ok so when i go see the civil surgeon i am basically just asking him to transfer my vaccination supplement sheet onto one of his I-693a sheets? i dont have to go through the whole medical, because his lovely nurse tried to insist that i needed it, to which i flat out said no (my medical is not a yr old yet) plus i have had all the nessecary vaccinations, just need them transfered......plus anyone from the UK who had there vaccination supplment sheet transfered over here by a civil surgeon, what did you do about the varicella shot, as its not available in the UK?

LOL Chrissy - I tried reading and responding coherently to your post and question, but I got mesmerized by ur banana pickle pepper avatar!!!!

  5. i feel like screaming. The incompetence of some peoplpe is huge, but then why did i expect more? Today i called the mis information line and spoke to a programmed person about wether i needed to have a vaccination supplement completed by a civil surgeon in this country, even though i had never recieved an RFE, she told me that yes everyone has to have it done by a civil surgeon in this country, and that the medical etc you had done in your home country is only valid for the K1 visa! I got impatient and testy on the phone saying so basically i would never have known i needed a new medical and just gone to my AOS inteview without it and been rejected!?!?! If it is mandatory they should state it! So then i called a civil surgeon in mankato, they ARE registed but geez they had no clue! oh we havent done many of those before was the standard response! So then after getting transferred 3 times i spoke to a nurse who told me that yes a civil surgeon should complete the vaccination supplement here. I asked for cost she had no frickin idea.....she told me a full medical would be 250 bucks, i told heri dont need a full medical, well then the doctors office visit would be $80 any vaccinations i may need additional cost. now a couple of questions 1) the vaccination supplement i had completed in england was singed and ticked vaccination history complete, so does this mean i wont need any vaccinations at the civial surgeons? 2) My AOS interview is april 12th and my civil surgeon appointment is march 9th is this ok to get them done so early? 3) does the civial surgeon basically just transfer the vaccination sheet from back home onto his sheet and sign it?? ok rant over

  6. yep my vaccination supplement sheet was in my sealed envelope when i had my interview in london and it was all completed.

    Chrissy

hi i came in from the UK as well and submitted my vaccination sheet given to me in London with the AOS paperwork. We didnt get an RFE either - i panicked when i read everyone else was sending in a suppliment vaccination sheet or taking one with them to the interview so I got one done by post - no charge at all.

I had my interview yesterday, took my vacc sheet with me and was not even asked for it.

So I personally wouldnt get one done and just take with you a copy of the one submitted from London.

    Hope this helps.

    Kate

its just a worry is all i know my vacc sheet is complete and i had all the approiate jabs, but should i fork out the money to be on the safe side......by the way kate i'm from Huddersfield 2!

  7. April 12th is our AOS interview date and i have a question. on the letter from uscis that has our AOS interview date on the checklist it states bring the sealed medical examination with you to the interiew, am i right in thinking this is only if you had an RFE about the vaccination sheet, and needed to go to a civil surgeon? We never recieved a RFE and we only sent in our completed vaccination sheet from london. so does this not apply to us?

    thanks all
