I am guessing but this maybe another reason we haven't got our dates. Effective June 4, 2010 K1 visa fee will get increased to $390 from $131 so the Embassy is waiting and put people after that date and send PKT-4 after June 4th so no one can claim that the pkt-4 was received before June 4 th.

It was "any" available slot. As every day is progressing it looks like getting interview date in June will be a miracle.

Now, regarding I-134 expiration date. Please check USCIS website and click on FORMS tab and scroll down and find I-134. It is clearly mentioned on the USCIS website-->

"Prior versions are also acceptable".

So,no worries ...

Not trying to be pessimistic but in general Embassy sends packet 4 approximately 1 month before the interview date. Today is 5/21 so it got to be last week of June or beginning of July unless Pkt 4 got lost in the mail as never receive Pkt-3. It seems like Delhi Embassy is not very organized. I think Mumbai Embassy is more organized.

I don't think I-134 date will be an issue. If you look at Mumbai embassy website they have already published interview date for the month of June. I-134 is a common form used by people all over the world and I hope people who have already prepared the document for June interview date won't be forced to get a new form. But who knows anything is possible. We got to keep our finger cross.

In a nushell, Emabassy get too many categories of Visa application during this summer time and now we got to pay the price. I have no clue on what basis they allocate the interview date. Also, Embassy has limited stuff so they can only process certain number of visas per day. So, who is going to pay the price for all these...its us and its not good but unfortunately there is no choice either .

Good catch. Contacted them and I was told currently there is no slot available and they are working on it. I asked how long is the wait? Got an answer back "Don't know". The biggest problem we are facing with people applying for tourist visa to come to US during summer. Most parents or others visit US during the summer. On top of that F1 visa holders may also be applying.

This morning (5/13) called State Dept early in the morning 8:30AM and she told me Delhi Embassy hasn't scheduled the date. First three code is Embasy code and for Delhi -> NWD and for Mumbai-> BMB

2010 is the year and next six digit is a sequential/running number. NVC assigns this number all types of Visa. I don’t think they have any specific numbering scheme for K1 visa.

Also, if you check Delhi Embassy website the last case# scheduled for the month of May is NWD2010598008 so if your NVC# is within the range of (15-20 plus) NWD2010598009 - NWD2010598028 you may hope for an interview dt in the month of June or early July. Unfortunately, STATE DEPT in the US will not do much and it all depends on the Delhi Embassy to prepare the schedule. Hope this helps. Cheers:)

No interview date yet..Delhi embassy will schdedule the date and it is upto them when to schedule. Also, lot of people come to USA during summer time so the embassy is busy with the backlogs. If you look at the avg no of days between Pkt 3 received by the embassy and Pkt 4 sent is approximately 10-15 business days. After someone receives Pkt 4 generally interview date falls with in month time.
