  1. My removal of condition will be next year. I know its too early to ask but I'm just looking ahead on the possibilities of what's gonna happen after a year.

Does it affect my application for removal of condition if:

    1. Our income this year will be below poverty line? and if its below poverty line do we need co sponsor again?

    2. If we don't have mortgage/lease in both of our names? since I'm pretty sure will still be living with his parents after a year.

    3. Won't have insurance together.

But we can provide the following:

    * joint bank account/checking.

    * joint federal and state tax return

    * sworn affidavit from 2 person that have knowledge of our bonafide marriage.

    * and some other stuff that have both of our name like my local health department immunization record, pictures whole year events being together.

Just want to know what are the circumstances under the listed possibilities above.

Any question comes to your mind. I'm willing to answer for clarification.

  2. I'm happy to finally got my GC from the mail today.

Does your GC say's Conditional Resident if its conditional? or just Permanent Resident even conditional. Just wondering.

I arrived in US March 17, 2009. But in my card it says resident since May 20, 2009. I look at my marriage certificate it was recorded May 20, 2009. Maybe that's where they based my residency started? My card expires May 20, 2011. they only gave me good for one year GC. :(

So I guess I'll be filing first before you guys my co filers of AOS Jan. 2010 for removal of condition.

  3. Nope I haven't received anything yet! I'm starting to get nervous since we have purchased a plane ticket for me to go home to Canada for a wedding in June ...

I hope nothing went wrong .. the lady was behind schedule when she did our interview, hopefully nothing happened to my file!

    getting scared and nervous!

It will be alright. I'm sure you will hear from them soon. :) I don't know what number your supposed to call. Did you have the number of USCIS to call?

  4. Just a question ...

We had our AOS interview on March 29th, 2010 in Portland, OR. I was approved verbally by the lady at the end of the interview, but did not have my passport stamped or signed any paperwork.

It is now April 20th, and I haven't received anything from them, nor has anything been updated on USCIS ... should I worry?

Does anyone know of a number to call to see if I can find out more information??

    Thanks!

    Brenda

Not Even a letter confirming that you're approved? After 4 days from my Interview, I received a notice from USCIS confirming that my application was approved and to allow 30 days for my GC to arrive.

It's still 20 days wait till 30 days gone by and then you can call them. Coz normally they send the GC after 2 to 4 weeks.

  5. You may need to stay in the US till your petition for her is approved and then if the case is transferred to the US embassy Manila. Then that time you can go stay in the Philippines. That's what my fiancee did before after receiving the notice that the petition has been approved. He stayed in the Philippines and scheduled the medical exam and interview after receiving the case number. He just took with him all the necessary documents for the upcoming interview. Such as original tax returns, affidavit of support, telephone history, bank account history, pictures, letters and etc. Just anything to show proof of relationship.

  6. Sorry guys I post it in another topic the result of my interview. It lasted for 5 minutes and the Immigration officer stamped my passport. He was so nice and no sweat or intimidated of him.. Im under K-3 visa when I enter here and been married for over 2yrs. I might get a 10yrs. GC in the mail within 10 days from my approval.

Thank you to my VJ'ers Family! I will still be around in case other members wants my help.good.gif

    Congrats Belovedbyme! :)

  7. Hey let her go home without marrying you and then go from there. I remember in our seminar before in CFO that if a K1 wasn't able to marry the petitioner. Then the beneficiary should leave US and not to marry anybody else because if the person will. Then she leave the US she will be block listed in US. Over staying more than one year is not that bad than staying more years to come.

  8. Since she sign a paper that its purely business going there but actually a companion of her bf which is doing business there. She might as well just asked for a letter from her ex bf of being his personal assistant. But then the question will also be; does she needs to ask for a police clearance while she was there? saying she's working? hmmm I wonder.
