This isn't a fair question. It's not about 'feeling entitled' it's about state law making you entitled by virtue of marriage to an established resident. I haven't paid taxes yet but my husband has. And since the state views what's mine as his and vice-versa, this includes my in-state status for tuition purposes. In AZ, that's 1 year's residence, unless you have moved because of a corporate relocation or due to active military service.
I don't need to have been resident in the US or paid a single penny personally in taxes in order to qualify for financial aid either. I just need to be following an accredited course of study at an accredited school and have my CGC in hand.
So please don't cast judgement in this way, because what it seems you're really saying is that you believe she's married for the wrong reasons. Not up to us to judge why she's married a USC, as long as she's not asking us to promote or assist her in committing immigration fraud. People don't have to marry for love for it to be a legitimate marriage. They just have to not be marrying for immigration benefit. Couples can choose to live apart for a plethora of reasons, that are absolutely none of our business, unless she openly admits it's for immigration benefit and then we need to remind her of T&Cs and legalities for all parties and move along.

I just think contacting your congressman should be reserved for when something has gone wrong and you're outside processing times, not just because you're impatient. USCIS posts timelines for a reason. It's unreasonable for every applicant to be calling up their Senator a month after applying, pestering them for expedite. If you have a valid reason for expedite, such as financial hardship and a job offer in-hand then I can understand. But not just because you're impatient or bored. Everyone should have been prepared from the start for at least a 3-month wait.
    Just my two cents.

If you work with legal documents you should know that details are important.
SuicideBlonde (not the OP, but the OP's fiance) said they planned to get married, have the foreign spouse go back to Europe, and then apply for the K3. That indicates no intent to AOS immediately after the marriage.
Additionally, propagating incorrect information, whatever the context, is a bad idea. It's not illegal or fraud to enter as a visitor and get married. Period. It's only illegal to enter with immigrant intent on a non-immigrant visa, and apply for AOS. People should be corrected when they give incorrect information so that it doesn't result in misinformation being passed around. The threads here are not only for the benefit of the OP, but for all readers, who may be in different situations.

Please help, I have a few problems.
I filed way later then planned. I bought my fiance's airline tickets for may 15 (they are non refundable), is that enough time to get the K1 visa? Oh, I should be good sent packet in last week already!
A question about the G325A, should her extented time in prison have been listed here? I am affraid this may hold things up.
Well, I am sure that the I -130 was filled out correctly!
After all we did get our NOA 1 and check was cashed really fast !
Our evidence of relationship, that's solid. We first met during a drug bust in Manila, this is well documented including goverment pictures of us.
We are both still married to others, that shouldn't be a problem. Once we get our interview, Manila will be able to see it's true Love!
My main concern is that I signed my full name on all documents like my passport.
Got you ! this is an old post I did in 2008.

If you want to marry someone that is a liar and has a ban because of previous lying and fraud he would have to request a waiver. If the waiver is granted he can then come here and promise to love, honor and cherish you the rest of his life.
The experienced people at DHS tend to take a dim view of such promises from people that have demostrated clear contempt for laws, rules, promises etc.
