Congrats on ur visa journey & good luck! You could definitely start the medical part. For my husband it didn't take more than 2 days in the capital to get it all done, since everything is located nearby one another. But for us, the processing was longer as K-3 visa & once we recieved our notification for his interview is when he did his medical, it was 2 weeks out.

What was the flight like? I've been trying to explain to him the airport process & what-not, but I'm not sure if it is completely different at immigration time??

Thanks! I was just looking up what he needs for his license & job search. Looks like we'll get to enjoy downtime for a month or so. The lady from the Embassy just told him to take his cedula and pasaporte, but of course he has packets full of documents, just in case. I'm sure there are at least 3 they will ask for. I can't be at the interview, so I hope that is not a problem.

Congrats on your arrival! I was just noticing that! We are All set! He goes tomorrow to pick up something, then wait until the 9th to go to the interview. It took about 5 days before you guys could pick up the visa after the interview right? And about 2 weeks to recieve the SSN once you arrived? Trying to get a general idea of time frames.

Apparently our case is in a storage, waiting for other cases to arrive & ship them all as a bunch! OMG

I was looking at the Embassy website, but it's mainly visitor/work related visas, that's why I wasn't sure if it pertained to us. I feel $140 better since it doesn't! Plane tickets are plenty! Thanks bunches!
