  1. I have to say that I'm glad to see this thread. While I am not glad that people haven't gotten their NOA2, I am glad that I am not the only one who hasn't. Yes, I understand that I am not even at the 3 month mark yet, but when I saw VSC blast through a good portion of December filers over the past few weeks, my hopes got up. Checking my email, running to the mail box, etc., makes one very depressed when nothing is to be found. After the latest "spurt"from VSC I guess it is time to hunker back down and just deal with it. This process has been the most difficult and frustrating thing I have ever imagined. There is no "fairness" to this process. We are all at the mercy of people who don't know us and simply look at us as a bunch of forms and some pictures in a bag with names on the back. It'll happen soon. I know it will. We all just have to hang in there.

  2. Hey Everyone,

I posted early on in this process and have been watching the forum everyday. I guess I have been the very quite crew member below decks. It has been great to see how positive everyone is here.

I'm happy to see that VSC is finally starting to move and that everyone is starting to get their NOA2's. I pray to God that me and my little Alyonushka get ours this coming week. This is by far the most difficult process I have ever been through in my life. To be parted from someone that I love so much is a true test of strength. But I am staying positive and do believe that VSC is going to crank out another big batch next week.

Good luck to everyone in this continued journey.

  3. Hello,

I was just looking at the Consulate info here on VJ about the embassy in Kiev and noticed that it states in # 18 of "Other Forms" that the Biological father of my fiancee's child must be PRESENT at the interview for the fiancee visa.

    Is this correct!?!?!

I thought all we needed was a signed and notarized letter from him in both English and Ukrainian stating that he was OK with his son immigrating permanently to the US? And also a photo copy of his passport.

Can someone who has been through this please answer my question. It will be impossible to get this guy to the embassy in Kiev!!

    Thanks,

    Steve

  4. Hi All,

Just wanted to post and join the January group. I'm on the fence though. I could be the last December NOA1 or the first January NOA1 on here.

I sent my paperwork to VSC on December 28th, they received it on the 29th and cashed the check on the 31st. I received the hardcopy NOA1 on January 4th. The hardcopy had an NOA1 date of Dec 29th, but in my timeline I am going off the date I got the hardcopy. So in my mind I am a January filer.

    Go VSC go!!!!

  5. Hello,

My question is this. My Fiancee is a Ukrainian citizen. About a year and a half ago she moved to Vietnam. She lived in Hanoi for about 9 months and Ho Chi Minh City for 9 months. Does she need a police certificate from both cities? Also she lived in Odessa for most of her life, but now lives in Bilgorod-Dnistrovskyi now. Does she need a certificate from both cities or just from Odessa Oblast? To be honest, my main worry for her is Vietnam since she is not living there any more. But help on both locations will be helpful.

    Thanks

    Steve

  6. Hi all,

We just sent our paperwork to VSC, but I have a quick question. Am I allowed to go with her to the Embassy in Kiev when she has her interview? Do I actually get to sit beside her when she is interviewed or do I have to sit in the hallway or outside or something?

I know we just filed (don't even have NOA1 yet) but it never hurts to be hopeful and looking ahead!!!!

    Thanks,

    Steve and Alyona
