  2. Pretty2009,

I am in the same shoes with you. Getting certified copies or duplicates can be a hassle in some countries. I decided to take the chance and had my wife mail the originals to me, and then sent the originals to NVC, all by secure mail. I figured that if something happens in the mail, then I won't mind going through the trouble of getting replacements for the documents. After all, many people take the chance of mailing their Internatonal Passports to consulates to get them visa stamped.

It's all up to you. Do what you feel comfortable with. If you choose to send your originals, better to use the most secure mailing service you know of.

So far, at least I know that our documents are not missing yet since NVC has acknowledged receiving the documents.

    Good luck!

    hi,

i did the same thing, i sent the originals to NVC. I called them before sending and they assured me that they will give them back to me at the interview.

  3. hi

i have got a bit mixed up!

i followed the instruction on the NVC website soon after paying the 75$ i sent the affidavit of support letter and then after paying 400$ requested by NVC, as it said on the website, i mailed all the civil documents together with DS-230 to the following address:

    National Visa Center

    Attn. CMR

    32 Rochester Avenue

    Portsmouth, NH 038012909

but now around 10 days after sending the DS-230, i received an email from NVC (checklist) that i have to send my DS-230 to the following address:

    NATIONAL VISA CENTER

    ATTN. DR

    31 ROCHESTER AVENUE, STE 100

    PORTSMOUTH, NH 03801-2909

i am mixed up now, shall i send them again? or maybe they have not received the docs yet?!

i have also send the DS-230 to the first address, shall i send to the new one?!

    waiting for your help..
