What about the copy of the usc birth certificate or passport? Your marriage certificate? Documents referring to you and your spouse?

Under the 5 year rule none of those should be needed.

Don't be worried. The Oath Ceremony is the easiest part. It will be quick and painless.

My check was cashed today, showed up for tracking last night.

My Ceremony was pretty quick, but I was at the Courthouse for about 2 hours total. Took over an hour to get everyone checked in, check paperwork and have the Immigration Officer go through the process of the ceremony. The ceremony itself was maybe a half hour, but one of Nebraska's Senators was there as a "special guest" to hand out the certificates. Then there was a small reception after the ceremony with drinks and cookies provided by a local organization.

Glad to finally be done with all the paperwork, waiting and stress.

Got my Ceremony letter today. Scheduled for Friday October 9.

Just passed my interview!

He asked if I wanted to become a citizen today, and do my ceremony at 2pm. Unfortunately I have another appointment at 2:30pm which I've already rescheduled 3 times and can't reschedule again, so I wasn't able to do it then. He did say that my ceremony will probably be sometime towards the end of the month.

Should be between September 17th and September 25

why ?

There is no real way of predicting when you'll be scheduled, but it based on other people, it looks like NY is taking 10 - 15 for the interview letter and about 30 days from there for your interview, so if they process your app at the same speed you might be looking at early October.

How long did it take for the letter to arrive since you got the update that your interview was schedualed ?

I did my Biometrics 7/20 and no updates yet, Should I worry?

No, it could take anywhere from days to weeks (maybe more) before you're in line, depends on their current load.

I went through the Embassy in Auckland so the time to get back documents was probably faster, but I was told that when you apply for the Police Certificate yourself they only supply a copy that doesn't include any information under the Clean Slate Act, and they want to see everything, which is what their copy will show. So even if you do get yours back before theirs comes back they won't accept it.

Wonder when we will received the actual interview date or letter...seems like everything moving so fast...it's like less an month since I submit the application, now I am ready for interview...

p/s NZ is nice area..why you are moving here LOL...i'm tempting to go there..since it's easy for me to get PR due to I work in the engineering field

My wife's Father and Grandparents were both not doing too good health wise, so rather than having her move to NZ and be away from them I decided to move to the US. Had it not been for that she would have moved to NZ to live with me. We'll probably eventually move back to NZ, but for at least the next few years we'll be staying in the US.

What kind of Engineering?

Also, would calling and asking for my interview date work? I have some travel scheduled for work, and would prefer to have the date now instead of waiting for the actual letter so I can work around the interview with travel dates.

Website finally just updated to tell me my interview was scheduled.

That was fast. My case hasn't been updated online since the first "On June 10, 2015, we received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization" message and I've already been for my fingerprints.

Went for my fingerprints in Omaha, NE this morning.

Appointment was at 9am, got there about 8:45am and the waiting room was pretty full. They were getting through people pretty quick, so they called me up by 9:10am. I got done with the actual fingerprinting and the lady asked me if I was ready for my test, and I said that I though I was. She said good, because you're going to do it right after this. I freaked out a little, because even though I'm pretty sure I would pass I wasn't prepared to do it today, but then she laughed and said she was kidding. Pretty quick and painless as usual, I was out of there by 9:20am.

This is the standard NOA language that almost everyone gets. I'm not sure why you think this means that you may not do biometrics. Biometrixs data is part of the required record checks. Having said that, biometrics can be skipped in certain cases, but I don't think anything in your letter indicates this.

I think people may be confusing their first NOA to notify of the acceptance of their application with the second NOA that gives the date of either the biometrics, or if fingerprints aren't needed to let them know that they will have their interview scheduled.

My letter has the same contents... but I don't see a reason why my fingerprinting would be waived?

You may not need to get updated biometrics because of this..

"USCIS must collect fingerprint records as part of the background check process on most applicants for naturalization.​ Applicants 75​ years of age​ and older are generally not required to submit fingerprints. USCIS notifies applicants in writing to appear for fingerprinting after submitting the naturalization application. Fingerprints are valid for 15 months from the date of ​processing by the FBI​. An applicant abandons his or her naturalization application if the applicant fails to appear for the fingerprinting appointment without good cause and without notifying USCIS.​"

Got my appointment letter today. Fingerprints scheduled for 07/07.

How do sign up for a text/email without NOA or receipt # ? Or USCIS they just send you text taking the info from your application ?

If you include the G-1145 "E-Notification" Form with with your application that includes your phone number and email address you'll get a notification when your application has been accepted. The notification also includes your receipt number so you don't need to wait for your NOA.
